Brewers Best Summer Ale Ingredient Kit

From brew to drinkable in 18 days (bottle conditioned). I have brewed a few Brewer's Best kits, but this is my favorite so far. During brew I was able to hit the OG within the expected range and finished below the FG by a few points (which added a little more alcohol). My friends all agree this is one of the best beers I have brewed. I'm not really picking up the orange and lemon zest, but I'm sure it's back there somewhere. Highly drinkable with a nice finish that screams for a second (and third). This kit also included labels, which was a nice touch. The labels come off easy and a few second soak with no residue, which is nice if you reuse your bottles. I will be ordering this kit again, along with some extra orange peel to put in the fermenter.

This recipe is as simple as it gets for extract brewing, and I highly recommend it if it's your first run for a home brew! I added 16oz of honey to my boil and it really helped lay down the citrus flavor a bit more (maybe too much, I'll try it again with 8oz and see how it goes, but it wasn't bad nor overpowering). The honey also raised the starting gravity a smidge which, in turn, raises the ABV (Mine topped out at 4.7%) I also started this boil with 2.5 gallons of spring water, and probably should have used 3.After 5 days in primary fermentation, I racked it to secondary (mainly for clarity) for 7 more days and bottled it. After another 7 days, the first open was pretty good. I did notice the carbonation was not 100% on the first few that were opened, but the ones opened after another 5-7 days were perfect.I will definitely be brewing this again, and will tweak the ingredients again to make it fun!

This is my second batch of this brew. The summer ale is fantastic. The orange and lemon peels give it a very pleasant citrus note. My wife does not like beer and she loves this one!Easy to follow instructions and a great product.

Came with everything I needed. Used my own caps. The beer case out phenomenal. I added gelatin to clear it up and added my own label to the bottles for aesthetics.Came out light, crisp, and dry with low IBU and 4.86 ABV. Landed right in the middle of the OG range. As with all beer, temperature control during the steeping process and fermentation is key.Everyone loved it. The only problem with this brew is everyone drank it too fast!

Brewed this a month ago. Decided to hop it up with some additional whirlpool and dry hop additions of Galaxy and Citra. AMAZING! Bought another kit the day I tasted it.

Quality ingredient kit either for a beginner or a seasoned brewer alike, looking for a lighter (but not too light) ale. Very simple ingredient list and very simple instructions, like with most homebrew kits. Came out really well 👍🏻

Great price with free prime shipping. Comes with everything you need unlike buying kits from home brew websites where the priming sugar and yeast are separate. I made a batch for a party at my house and everyone loved it. Higher priced compared to other brewers best kits however its a much more complex brew. I would buy again for sure, especially from Amazon.
