The Essential Sarah McLachlan

Sarah is simply magnificient. This collection is a must have.

This CD set and the set Closer are very, very similar. They have most of the same songs, but The Essential collection has slightly more variety and unique titles such as "Time After Time" with Cyndi Lauper. Closer has a nicer CD design, but it also has more repetition using multiple varieties of the same song. You won't be disappointed with The Essential Sarah Mclachlan...all her hits, plus many other extras all worth listening to. This album gets plenty of replay.

I enjoy listening to Sarah McLachlan's music. She has a very pleasant voice, her music has depth and you can feel her emotion as she sings.This is a "greatest hits" Sarah McLachlan CD and it's full of some fantastic music. You can hear how she's evolved. Her older music isn't as refined, but the magic is there!

I enjoy listening to Sarah and this is a good one

Sarah is a mesmerizing singer an' a gifted songwriter. This is most of the best that she has done, but she has been so prolific in her twenty years of performing that no single - or double - CD can capture it all. That being said, this is the best collection to purchase. Highly recommended for its content an' details. For fans of Sarah - and I am definitely one - it's challenging to get enough of this unique an' talented lady...Her songs seem to flow straight from her heart with almost no effort at all...This is a wonderful double-helping of the magical lyrics and voice of Sarah Mclachlan, one of the premier songbirds of our time (or any time, for that matter).

Really good collection of songs. I knew some songs. But now I am experiencing some many others now, thanks to this compilation.

This is a lovely collection by one of the most influential artists of the 90sI was not thrilled with the inclusion of so many "live" tracks as the applause and cheering tend to ruin my experience, that having been said Miss Mclachlan is one of a handful of artists whose live recordings can be superior and often better than the studio recordings. Tighter editing of the audience responses would have made this PERFECT!If you love Sarah then this is an Essential Collection!
