Note low RPM listing
While these are offered as being compatible with all rotary tools, the package states they must be used at low RPM. This is contradictory since rotary tools run in the 5000-30000 RPM range. Another reviewer stated they were listed at 1500 RPM. I did not see that in the ad or on the package. But the low RPM warning is on the cardboard package back along with a requirement to always use water lubricant. By comparison, the comparable Dremel 545 is listed as 15000 to 20000 RPM.On another subject, other reviewers have said they don't hold up well cutting screws or metal. They are not intended for metal. They are suitable for concrete, brick, porcelain, ceramics and tile.Update on usage. Someone commented on this review asking how well they actually worked in comparison to the Dremel 545. They work very well. I installed subway tile as a kitchen backsplash. The tile surface ends as the backsplash reaches a window frame. I did not installed the window trim until AFTER the tiles were already solid on the wall. And to place the trim properly, I had to trim off 1/8" of the tile the full height of the backsplash.I applied a piece of painters tape to maintain a straight line and cut straight up all the tiles. But since this cut requires the Dremel tool to lay flat against the wall while cutting, the larger diameter of the Dremel 545 is essential to get a cut that was perpendicular to the wall.As I just explained, a key comparison involves the diameter of the disc. The Dremel disc is roughly twice the diameter. If you picture the small disc installed on your Dremel rotary motor tool, you can imagine that the larger Dremel disc would give you a greater depth of cut. Cutting flush to the wall surface with the small disc would be nearly impossible. You would have to lean your Dremel motor into the wall and you would get a cut that was not perpendicular to the wall. (Dremel 545 disc is 1.5" diameter while this disc is 7/8" diameter.)On the other hand, if you are cutting tiles BEFORE they are installed on the wall, these small discs work perfectly well. There is no question the Dremel 545 is superior quality and functionality. BUT this product does work adequately and is a bargain at the price offered.

Should have gotten a second set
After reading the reviews, I decided to order this. I was right in the middle of tiling my shower with porcelain. I planned on use mosaic tile sheets in the niche but I found out real quick that my cheap tile saw couldn't do it. Well it could but it came out looking awful. I used the Prime trial offer to get them in two days. I knew from other reviews not use the shank that came with it and to cut on a slower speed using water. It did a great job on the mosaic pieces. When I didn't have the diamond saw hole bits to make the holes for shower head and spout pipe, I use the diamond wheel instead. I wasn't about to pay $20 for something I might use once or twice. I even use one to cut off a few inches of a metal curve shower rod. These thing are great. I still have three left, though none of them are good for fine detail work anymore. I can still use them for other stuff. So worth the money, my only regret is that I should have order two sets instead of one.

Great Tool, Incredible Deal
These inexpensive diamond blades may just be one of my new favorite tools.I bought them to cut a hole in Hardiplank siding to mount a board for a new patio light. The blades were supposed to be Option C for getting the job done, but after experimenting with a scrap piece of Hardiplank, I quickly tossed Options A and B aside. The diamond blade sliced through the cement siding like butter, and the cut was clean and precise. The job was done quickly, and I was able to fit the board in so tightly it looked much better than the one the professionals had done. I didn't use water to make a wet cut, and the blade didn't seem to mind. I just had to wear a mask to protect my lungs from the dust.Another reviewer mentioned the crappy mandrel that came with this kit, and I'd have to agree. I must have tightened the darn screw a dozen times in a hour, and eventually it got so loose the blade wouldn't turn. Dashed to the store and bought a Dremel mandrel for three bucks and never had a problem again. The blade showed no sign of wear from this project, and I think just one of them may last me for a long time. My advice would be to order this kit and a Dremel mandrel at the same time. For less than half the price of a Dremel Diamond Wheel kit with one blade, you get five of these blades!

Great Price!! Overall Fast Shipping!!
First, just to clarify. These are not a big as the "Dremel" brand of Diamond Cutting Wheels. They are much smaller in diameter which is actually what I wanted since I needed to get into a tight space and the Dremel brand would fit since it was actually to big. The Dremel one is nice though for cutting thick or long cuts and even for grinding. Also, you get 6 wheels plus a mandrel for much less than the price of one of the Dremel brand wheels. Not much to say, they seem to be very good quality and I've used one wheel on a few projects already and it show's very little wear. I managed to catch theses when they were only $3 but would pay more next time and order them from here if I need more. They came pretty fast and I'd highly recommend for the price.(My tip: Use wheels like these with either water or some kind of high speed cutting type fluid. I just use water but if they you keep them wet when being used and take your time they will last a long time.)

Saved me from buying a tile cutter/angle grinder.
These worked way better than I would've expected. I used these to make a notched cuts in 3x6 glazed subway wall tile. Then I even used the same wheel to make notched cuts in 12x12 porcelain tile and that worked great as well. Obviously a tile cutter would've been faster, but these worked great. Used a spray bottle of water just to be on the safe side and prolong the life of the blade.Overall, a great purchase and I still have 4 diamond wheels to spare.A note/tip though: don't keep the wheels spinning in one area for too long. It'll cause black burn marks to the tile, especially noticeable on white glazed tiles.
