Nitecore TIP 2 (TIP2) Keychain Flashlight, 720 Lumen LED High Lumen USB Rechargeable for EDC Pocket with LumenTac Charging Cable

I carry this daily on my keychain as a general-purpose light, but it’s proven strong enough to double as a work light when I need it. Fit & Function: Very compact and lightweight, easy to forget it’s even there until you need it. USB rechargeable and battery life has been solid for everyday use. Performance: Surprisingly bright for the size. Easily lights up a room, trail, or parking lot, and it’s more than enough for close-up tasks. Noticeably brighter than the older keychain light I replaced. Practical Features: The magnetic tail is extremely useful — I can stick it to a hood, frame, or any metal surface and keep both hands free while working. The clip is also well designed and fits securely on a ball cap brim, which turns it into a quick headlamp for tight or hands-on jobs. Build Quality: Feels durable and well made. Holds up fine to pocket and keychain carry without feeling fragile. Bottom Line: Great all-around EDC light that’s small enough to always have with you but bright and versatile enough for actual work when needed. Exactly what I wanted in a keychain flashlight.

Really useful light. Super bright and the battery lasts forever. Solid construction and super strong magnet if you need to use the light hands free.

Great light, I tested it at night with the car lights off, i can actually drive at 40km/h at night with its light and see where I am going ( wont drive far, but it emits enough light to see where you are going) update 4months later: WHY anybody would design a torch with a light that goes out after 30seconds IS BEYOND MY LEVEL OF COMPREHENSION , now I have to do a internet search again to figure out the sequence of how to turn the 30 second darkness feature offff, I hope there will be a firmware update to change the ridiculously short 30 second Darkness feature to something like 1 minute or turn it OFF FOREVER / REMOVE the ridiculous feature, Imagine buying a light that turns off by itself, after importing it to my country the cost is equivalent to buying a Drill or something, and I choose to buy a torch smaller than a car key that turns off the moment you start to get busy, and then you have to search the internet again how to make it stay on till you turn it off, because I wont be storing that info in my brain or keep the instruction manual with me 24 / 7 … Another thing is the duration you have to keep the switch pressed in to turn it on.. why so long If I want light , I want it now, so I have to resort to Turbo mode which is sometimes way to bright. Another feature is the lowest light setting, who is supposed to use that, the light may just as well be OFF.. Please release a firmware update. Update 2,5 years later, the battery packed up ( I Think / it died), So I thought im going to go bigger and brighter and bought a T4K, now THERE is a bundle of frustration if you ever had one ( the T4K), You always have to fiddle through the modes to get to the correct lummen setting, and you would sit in your chair, or at the desk, and then you would realize .. now my leg is getting really hot, and then the thing mysteriously turned ON, because the buttons pressed against your car keys or something, and the T4k is a 4000lumen flashlight ( it is really bright) , but that is 400 lumen with the switch depressed, the brightest lumen setting is 200 lumen, imagine that, you buy a 4000 lumen flashlight, and the brightest setting is 200 lumen, there is no 500lumen / 1000 lumen or 1500 lumen setting... the max is setting is 200 lumen :)))) and if you press the turbo button you get 4000 lumens for a few seconds :((( , needless to say I ordered another tip2 to replace this one, because the frustration levels is just so much lower, will have to find someone that wants a used T4K Although it might not sound like it, I do recommend this light, and suggest you use it with the plastic ( is it a belt/ hat clip) to avoid accidentally pressing the power button

Neat little light, with good functionality. Easy to use, as long as you read the instructions to turn off demo mode, so it doesn't turn off every thirty seconds without you understanding why, or how to leave it in demo mode, so it doesn't get turned on accidentally and stay on until the batteries are dead. Tiny, lightweight and bright, the only reason I don't like it is that the brightest setting, the 720 lumens, is only accessible by holding down a button, so you you can't clip it to your hat, or something, and have it stay at max brightness. It's only half that bright otherwise - still bright, but not what I wanted. The recharging is by micro-USB, instead of USB-C, which is a drag, if everything else you have is USB-C.

Great little light, small and bright. Charges quickly as well.. It's actually my most-used flashlight. Definitely would buy again..

Very bright, seems to have good battery life, love the Keychain & clip So... I bought this for work, I work overnight at a grocery store, yeah there is lighting, but they save energy when closed, so the lights dim down a whole lot for my whole shift.... that's where the light comes in handy! I keep it clipped to my hip till I need it Then I clip it to the bill of my hat when I'm using it, to brighten areas our dimmed lights don't really shine I use it in short bursts of 4~5min at a time throughout my 8hr shift, then charge when I get home I actually like the size and brightness 🔆 The magnetic feature is very nice, clips to the Keychain part vary strongly 💪 and I can have something metal hold the light for me and have free hands I don't understand how to see/read how much battery life is left though

These are the best lights for the size barr none! Rechargeable and durable, I love to clip on my hat for hand free light.

I'm an EDC and hiking gear hobbyist but I didn't have a flashlight that worked best for nightly walks with my new dog. My lights are either too heavy/clunky or too small/dim for traipsing through the trees behind apartment buildings looking for his poop after he frantically covers. A pocket torch like this looked perfect for that task, and the TIP 2 from what I could tell is the brightest on the market in this size range. There are much brighter pocket torches, but they get clunkier in design. My goal was to have something with a bright high mode and not rely on turbo mode that was lightweight and could fit in any pocket comfortably. After using the TIP 2 for a month I decided to return it. I loved the lumen/candela quality of this light, it fit the bill perfectly. However, there are four critical design flaws that made it annoying to use and ultimately something I didn't want to keep using. 1) The physical buttons, placement, and activation are the top reason I returned this. They are located on the thin side of the flashlight body, which isn't necessarily a problem except they are tiny and almost flush with the case. It also takes ~2 seconds of hard press to turn the light on, which makes it very annoying every time you want to use it quickly. Hard plastic buttons this small should be easier to activate. If they were rubberized click buttons that weren't flush then it would make more sense, but these would be hard to turn on accidentally in any pocket or bag. Compare this to the TIP SE which I haven't used, but that has larger rubber buttons on the broad side. No doubt those are easier to find and click. 2) The removable plastic clip is a waste of space. I took it off and only used it a few times. It is too loose for me to rely on that clip holding onto the light when it's dangling off my pocket. It is fine with a hat which has less contact/movement than pants, but it is really a waste of space. I would rather have a permanent metal money clip style on one of the broad sides. That would add almost nothing in weight and volume, but would be much more secure. The plastic clip wasn't easy to clip onto things either, the ramp was too angled and close to the light edge to smoothly slide over fabric. 3) I found out that I don't really like holding squat rectangular flashlights for extended periods of time. It's too small to be comfortable in the hand, and I have below average sized hands for a guy. You have to keep it pinched with the thumb and finger because it's too short to use your full hand as with pens and most flashlights. The classic cylindrical light style is much more comfortable to hold, and the added length helps a lot. 4) No lockout mode. Why hasn't Nitecore added this function yet? The Demo mode at 30 seconds isn't the best substitute.
