Amazing lightweight bright flashlight packed with features
This flashlight is AMAZING!!! I have done so much research to find the perfect flashlight and have so many crappy ones. This one is so lightweight with no batteries as it is rechargeable. It flashes to indicate charge life (how sweet). The charging port is nicely concealed at the magnet tailpiece - and the magnet is a convenient feature to have. It has a keychain and clip although it easily fits in a pocket. The clip is also removable in case you don't want to use that. The long-press button keeps you from accidentally turning it on in your pocket which is well thought out and switching modes is nicer with the button than a switch in my opinion. The accessories are a nice bonus - two chargers basically, and it is not a special charger (just a mini USB) so very convenient to charge wherever you go. The lumen output is amazing. This little bundle of joy has me so happy with my purchase. The only thing that it doesn't have is the ability to zoom in/out, but due to its' compact size that really isn't what this is made for. It's about the size of a 9-volt battery. I love a great invention and this is certainly GREAT!!!I accidentally sent it throuvh the washing machine (forgot it was in a pocket) and it survived and works just fine.

Versatile and bright
Very bright and sturdy, well made compact size makes it nice to carry. However switching regime is difficult to master as its hard to remember which of the 2 switches does what

Great light
NiteCore makes some amazing flashlights... At least on the smaller end. I've never owned any of their larger ones. This light has great battery life, is very bright, the magnets are very strong, and it fits well in your pocket.

Extra extra
Tip 2 is a very high quality item. The body of this light is solid. Magnets in the tail are very strong. Turbo light level at 720 advertised lumens is just way too strong for the intended use parameters dictated by the wide dispersion of the beam. If the beam were designed to project, than it may be more sensible. 720 lumens on objects closer than 15 feet away are almost too brightly lit. Mostly, I find myself using the very low and low settings indoors and the medium setting outside. I believe this products beam pattern is best for illuminating things within 20 feet. If you need to illuminate beyond that, you probably should be using something more than a mini pocket product, like a 18650 based flashlight with a longer throw beam pattern. For daily use I find myself reaching for Nitecore's Thumb light. The size is smaller, the clip is attached with screws, the output of light is adequate at 10 feet which is where most my needs are, and the light head tips over to make a 90 degree L shape light that is easy to clip on to pockets or belts for hands free lighting. Also, it is more natural and comfortable to hold the Thumb than the Tip 2. Still, the Tip 2 is a nice addition to the mix of pocket lights. It is my pocket sledge. Perhaps better as a fanny pack light. Same with the original Tip. My daily carry is the Thumb and Tube.

works great. flex charger broke instantly but light is sweet.
light works great but isn't better than the AAA streamlight for everyday carry. it's very bright but it is cumbersome for such a small device

The light itself is great, something wrong with battery drain or battery life?
I have several Nitecore products, and generally I've thought they are all great (I'm particularly fond of the TUP, lately). This TIP2 though, just hasn't been working out for me. Every time I go to use it, it seems to be dead. Charge it up and it works fine. A few days later though, dead again. There is some kind of bad drain on the battery when it's off, or I just have a bad unit... the other rechargeable Nitecore products I have though are all still going strong days, weeks, months later without a charge. It's just this TIP2 that seems to be having trouble. As such I can't recommend it to anybody, one of the top criteria for an EDC light for me is reliability and it seems the only thing I can rely on with this light is that it'll be dead whenever I actually need it.

Not all that glitters is gold
A nice general improvement over Tip1, but is somewhat ruined by a terrible user interface and crummy feeling buttons.

Nice light crap cord
I would give the light a 5 it's great but the cord stand didn't work and I was unable to get a replacement nobody cared don't buy this because of the worthless cord stand
