A little Harry Potter-esque without the magic
I'm not really going to describe the story, but after reading this book to my 5 year old daughter, I can say the following things:-This format has been done before, typical children in an imaginary school but this is all about princesses (although I feel Sofia has a more princessy feel than this does).-The main character could easily be a girl that a child could relate to: Coming from a loving family, Grace is thrown into school with a mix of friends and bullies, struggling to cope with a level of school work that all the other girls are a ready for.-There is a lot of character building and setting describing in this story, and it's all very girly. However, both of these were very attractive to my daughter. The bedroom, school and island as a whole were described in such a way that she found them very interesting, exciting and generally wished she was there! The ending was a bit more exciting than the rest of the book, and it has definitely encouraged us to read the next book!**Sneak peek into book 2: Grace isn't the best friend she could be! Very good writing in my opinion.**Please note, I read this to my 5 year old, she didn't read it herself. Suitable for fluent readers, aimed at 5-9 year olds. Black and white illustrations every 4-6 pages.

I am a ten year old girl . I really like princess Grace she is funny , kind and clumsy . She always tries to help but normally it goes wrong ! I would highly recommend this book it is also easy to read and easy to follow along with the plot !

My eight year old loves them!
I haven't read this book myself but my eight year old daughter loved it. She finished this one and promptly started on the second book (and is now onto the third - within a matter of days). She reads a lot but says this is one of her favourite series. And I actually came onto Amazon to see if there are any more in the Princess DisGrace series (I bought a set of four). Unfortunately, it seems like there aren't any more at the moment - but hopefully Lou Kuenzler will keep this character going. As a parent, it's always wonderful to see your child become so immersed in a book - so it's a big thumbs up for this series.

A new spin on the princess tale
Grace is my kind of princess -- a bit of a klutz, often in trouble but with a heart of gold. Her adventures at school are fun and very funny. My 11 year old read this and adored it -- a perfect end of the week, exhausted from school escape. We read it for a second time together and both giggled. Younger readers would happily gobble it up too. The story is fast paced and a great romp as Grace becomes an unlikely addition to the school. Fingers crossed for more adventures of our favourite new princess Grace!
