Much to my disappointment my 4 year old rooftop Dometic A/C quit cooling while out camping. I expected it to be something simple like a start capacitor but after getting home I figured out the compressor was running correctly it just wasn't cooling meaning it was low on refrigerant. These aren't made to be serviced so replacement was really the best solution for me. A little searching online lead me to believe this is fairly common for the newer Dometics. Unfortunately, although Dometic was once a great name in RV products after taking mine apart I figured out the thing is just a very cheaply made piece of Chinese junk.The good news is that Coleman-Mach RV A/C units are still made in Wichita, Kansas. If you have a ducted Dometic unit this conversion kit makes for basically a plug and play conversion installation of a new Coleman rooftop unit. It's also much less expensive than the cost of buying the new Coleman ceiling unit and thermostat. This does mean I'm still using the Dometic wall thermostat and control box in the ceiling. According to internet info those aren't typically problematic but I guess if either breaks later I'll buy a Coleman wall thermostat and ceiling control too.

Adapted my old dometic air conditioner controls and plentum to my new Coleman "Quiet" A/C.This is just what I needed.Easy to adapt--- so much better than the donetic-- seals off completely and makes the ducted air really work.

I needed an adapter for an older 97 Winniegbago. The Coleman A/C that I was replacing was different from the newer version. It fit perfectly but found out I also needed to change to a newer style intake register
