Ferret Nation #181 - Single Cage

I haven't put my ferret in this cage yet as I'm still deciding on placement. That being said, I know this is just about the number 1 cage for ferrets. There's obviously a reason for it. It was a little difficult putting together; the sides particularly. They just didn't want to line up properly. In the end, however, it all went together just fine. If I could change anything at all about this product, it would be to enclose the shelf underneath to hide away items stored there. For now, I suppose I'll have to invest in some glass jars to secure toys and such from little carpet sharks. No big deal.

I bought this ferret nation cage used so I did not have any of the assembly issues but find it very well-built, and I must say I love it except for the bottom pan!! It is not tall enough for a ferret who uses the corners to go potty. My ferret is young and doesn't always use the litter Pan. So it's making the cleanup kind of tricky because the potty goes over the sides and ends up on the floor (yuck). I did buy the scatter guard which helps but then the pee goes underneath the scatter guard because it just clips to the bottom pan, and then you're trying to get the pee & food out from underneath the scatter guard (good grief!) much longer clean up time than it need to be!!! Why doesn't ferret nation make a higher sided pan for the bottom??!! Do they not own ferrets and see what the problem is??? It would make their cages much more appealing to the public instead of having to mess with these silly scatter guards. Make a replacement bottom pan with higher side I would gladly buy that!!!

I finally bit the bullet and bought a Ferret Nation after so many people raved about the quality. Unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. When I received the product the box was open and none of the pieces were labeled. Also when I went to construct this cage the pieces did not line up properly and I had to employ a screwdriver and a rubber mallet to make them line up. Overall for a 145 dollar cage I was extremely disappointed in both the shipping of this product and the overall construction.

Okay delivery ..was the last day it was possible for delivery ..felt like it took for ever putting it together was hard core some of the edges wernt fitting together so i had to use the back of the hammer to strech it enough for one side to fit together .2 hours but its together and instead of sending it back an getting all the run around i just was like im pretty handy...but overall very sturdy cage and it will last very long ..two things were missing the part for the wheel to be placed on ..but i will call and try to get them to send it to me ...

High quality cage. Couldn't ask for better.

this cage system is wonderful. we have had 2 different brands and styles before. they have plenty of room to roam. they are stack able with the top cage system. panels come out easy to clean and cage is good quality with ferret proof door ^^ for those smart ones. excellent quality.
