Duplicate Bridge

Easy to read and follow. I play online as I can't find any humans to play around here, at least none that will allow beginners to join in. This has helped me up my scores considerably. I am sure it would be just as helpful playing with people.

Not having played duplicate since college (many years ago) I wanted a review and introduction to new methods. This book provided the review, but is outdated in modern bidding and methods.As a social player many things were helpful: the knowledge that bidding tends to be more aggressive and safe playing won't result in the best scores. As a new duplicate player in a competitive environment, I needed a more modern book, and should have paid closer attention to publication date (without any updates).

This was a book that I expected would be current. It was one of the first to come out on Duplicate bridge. . For what it was it was fine. If I was a collector of bridge icons, it would be fine. I just thought that I had ordered something current. for me a waste of money. Barbara

I have been trying to transition from contract to duplicate bridge, but the nuances were too great to do it easily. This book is the first one I read that actually makes sense and helps the process along. I would recommend it to anyone.

半世紀以上前に書かれた、マッチングポイント戦の本です。ラバーは知っているがＭＰは知らない人を対象に、ＭＰのテクニックを分かりやすく解説しています。この頃はまだＩＭＰは発明されていなかったらしく、ＭＰとＩＭＰの違いを予め知った上で読むと良いでしょう。さもないと、デュープリケート＝常にＭＰと思ってしまいかねません。一方、システムは当然ながら古い（＝スタンダードのみ）ですが、システムの本ではないので問題にはならないでしょう。
