32mm Garbage Disposal Air Switch Waste Disposal Switch Air Activated Switch Push Button Switch

I have an Insinkerator waste disposal and the air switch just stopped working after about 18 months. They are really simple in principle as when you press the button it sends a little pulse of air to switch on/off. When I took the the faulty one out I did try and investigate and I think there's a little rubber bellow type arrangement and that had a small hole in. I was looking for a reasonably priced replacement and I can't speak more highly of this as full functionality has been restored! Couple of observations - unlike the original switch which came apart into three this is a single sealed unit - but that just makes fitting it easier. The switch is kind of a brushed matt finish - original was a shiny finish. I actually prefer the matt and it seems to blend in better. Note this item is the switch only - it doesn't come with the airpipe so you will need to re-use the existing one. As long as that doesn't have any holes it will work fine. Very happy with this item at a really good price.

Bought this to replace the failed air switch on waste disposal system. Well made and quick to fit once I got the old one out. Works fine. Not the cheapest but seemed sensible price point for what it is. I don’t think it came with a plastic robe so check that if you don’t have one- I used the one fitted to the previous switch.

After my 3rd Air Button from Insinkerator (albeit in 10 years) I decided to look at alternatives particularly pricewise. I found this button at the €6 price point compared to the €20+ of the OEM. I always found that the Insinkerator's buttons lacked in feedback i.e. they felt soft and slow especially as they aged, which they did quickly. I found that they were also susceptible to the ingress of water which over time affected the units functionality. This button appears robust and it's brushed metal appearance looks well. As it appears to be spring loaded it has a much more positive feedback to the finger with a much more definite action. As I've only started to use it I don't know how it will cope with water splashes but at this price point I think it worth the try. UPDATE (Oct 2022) - still functions well. No wear nor usage marks!!

Strongly recommended. The most difficult part of fitting this Air Switch is to find a properly sized plumber’s spanner - needs to be fractionally bigger than 32mm, otherwise fine.

Justo lo que quería, lo pedí para sustituir el original del triturador, que era acabado cromado y teniendo todos los accesorios( grifo, fregadero, jabonera) en acabado mate. Este es fiel a la descripción y ahora tengo todo como tenia que ser de un principio.
