Great Polyurethane
Order this product to put natural finish on desk I have been making and it's easy work with and looks great. I would recommend this product.

Easy to apply, protective finish
I got this to finish the miter saw extension table I built. I wanted something that would be quite durable but easy to apply. Wiping it on, then wiping off the excess went just as nicely and quickly as any oil or wax finish. No brush to clean, and no spills! This is all that. I used 2 coats over 2 nights, without sanding in between. I would have been happy leaving a slight roughness since this was to hold unmoving raw stock. But the result was just as smooth as before the coats were applied. I used red oak, which the poly ambered somewhat, which I like and wanted. I like this a lot!

Pretty cool, better than traditional wipe-on poly
Sort of like wipe-on poly: gives you a smooth, seamless coat without having to spray it on or be a zen master when working with a brush. No problems with fisheye defects, dust issues, etc. The price you pay for this is having to do far more coats - generally five to eight (stop when it's looking good). I attached a photo of a table top with five coats on.I like gel over liquid wipe-on poly for two reasons: it builds up more quickly and fills grain and other surface imperfections easily, and it won't cause unsightly drip marks if you accidentally leave a bit too much somewhere.Note that you really need to apply it sparingly, basically wiping off any excess to leave a wet but smooth surface; if there are visible wiping marks, they are still going to be there once the coating cures. That said, because it doesn't flow, you can actually achieve some interesting textures by applying it in creative ways.Compared to gel poly from General Finishes, this one dries more quickly - about 4-6 hours versus 12+. It builds up more quickly, too. Moderate heat doesn't seem to speed up the cure all that much. Adding about 5-10% of mineral spirits helps when working with large surfaces.

The absolute best there is for Mahogany and other Hadwoods!
I've tried other products when working with hardwoods, but Old Masters Tung Oil Varnish is absolutely the best when it comes to enhancing and pulling out the gorgeous features of Mahogany. As you can see, I used un-finished mahogany, and pieced them together to make my counter top for my bar. I used five coats with at least a half day of drying time per coat. Next I added a quick coat of shellac, followed by 3 coats of Old Masters Gel Polyurethane. I finished the counter top using three coats of Old Masters Paste Wax. All of these products are available on Amazon. When it comes to hardwoods, this is all I will use. Delivery was on time and well packaged. Old Masters uses metal clips on the cans to lock down and prevent the lids from coming off during transport. The price was reasonable as well. If you're a professional or DIYer, this is all you'll need.

Little plasticy
Not to my taste. A little too plasticy for me.It goes on easy, wipes off easy, but it's overkill for the looks I like to achieve.I was under the impression that even though it goes on thick, after wiping, the end result would still require many coats.I won't be putting any more coats on and will need to figure out a way to take it down a notch, but I think this shouldn't be too difficult.
