I saw an add in my Pinterest feed for something like this because I’ve been brainstorming DYI board games and was so excited this existed I immediately came here and bought this. I haven’t finished my board game yet, but this is perfect for what I wanted to make! My tip for coloring is use POSCA markers. Because the game and accessories have a gloss finishing, I’m not surprised other mediums didn’t work well for other reviewers. I experimented POSCA markers on the cards and the blank dice and it worked perfectly. I did seal the dice with modge podge though because it did scrape off when I was testing it. I was considering self adhesive vinyl too if my POSCA markers didn’t work so that’s another workable option too that would turn out great.

Five stars because my daughter earned a 96/100 on her history assignment... project was to make a board game for class, and she asked for a box and some blank cards and later asked for game money. I surprised her with this set that included so much more and I also bought separately some play money (think monopoly money). She had fun working with the included items to bring her ideas into reality. Each of the items, including the box, is well constructed and versatile. Sharpies and acrylic markers worked great at marking the items and making them look fantastic.

This was a gift to my 11yr old grandson, who could not wait to start making his own game a reality. Previousl yo purchasing this, we got him a book about making your own game. He read it in one day and then read it again. This product has very nice components for making your own game. I would suggest that you use paper to plan your game, because once you use markers on the gameboard, there's no easy way to erase and start over. Maybe the maker of this product could include a grid the size of the board for practice. This is a very nice product included everything the ad and the label indicated. I would buy it again.

This is great for anyone who wants to build their own board games I do recommend using permanent marker so it doesn't smear. The pieces in the board are just like any regular board game that you buy so the sturdiness is great. And it's great price for what All comes in the box. I recommend for your first start out game this is it great product to get.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my 8 year old. The kit comes with many different items that fight nicely into the box so it is easily kept organized. Great quality gift that allowed him to use his creative side to create his own game! He used the blank cards included to then make a card game as well. Wonderful gift to encourage children to be creative. Endless possibilities of fun!

This was a great set. The price was fair for all that the kit comes with. It's super easy to use and fun to creat your own game with. It's as durable as any other quality board game set.

Purchased as a gift for my 9 year old cousin, she loved it! Its great quality and I recommend for anyone who has kids with big imaginations.

I bought this to hand make the Gale Force Winds boardgame from bobs burgers for someone as a gift. I couldn't find a rectangular one, so I had to adapt the shape a bit, but it worked out. This set has all the pieces you need to make a board game.

Het concept en de onderdelen zijn leuk en variabel voor spelcreatie. De ondergrond van het spelbord, doos, kaarten etc zijn moeilijk te bewerken, verf hecht niet goed, potlood is onbruikbaar(net zoals wasco e.d.). Het was zeer onaangenaam om te proberen hier iets kleurijks van te maken.

Bought this for a friend who is forever coming up with board game ideas. His secret Santa present and he absolutely loved it! I'm so excited to play the new game he has made. Great quality of the game board and cards as well

This blank board game is great. The materials and components are of good quality. My eight year old really enjoyed making his own pokemon board game with this. It’s a great way for your children to get creative and imaginative - and better yet, all of the family can get involved. Great fun.

This “create your own board game” kit was so much fun! I used paint pens and a clear coat to customize it. Love that it includes cards, dice, and a spinner — plenty of options to make a unique game.
