Again… AUSTIN 💛 Okay so I love everyone, but I don’t feel like we get enough time with each character. As much as I like Vali, 6 may have been too many.

Tate James has created an exceptional series
Kit Davenport and her 6 dianoch are on the run. Since finding out that she is a ban dia capable of creating other supernaturals she has been hunted. Betrayed by her "father" she and the team are trying to stay one step ahead of the Omega Group. Kit is suffering from nightmares after her last and final encounter with Mr. Gray. Caleb is still secretly working with Kit's estranged mother, Bridget trying to gain control over his blood magic, and Kit herself must learn control over ink magic after bonding with Austin before she can bond any more of her boyfriends. To sum up: 1. Stay alive. 2. Learn ink magic. 3. Bond her other 5 boyfriends. 4. Save the world. *Important note: Keep an excessive amount of coffee in the house at all times!I love these books. Honestly, I can't get enough of Kit and her guys. Action and adventure, danger, and suspense, romance and sex, sarcasm and humor! I love Kit. She's everything I could ask for in a lead female. She's gorgeous, intelligent, brave, snarky, funny, completely kick-a**. The guys, River, Wesley, Caleb and Austin, Cole and Vali make up the perfect harem (dianoch, in this case). I love the RH genre. I like the diverse characters that make up the harems. In so many books, the female adapts in small ways when she is with the guys. I believe that this harem better fits their female than any other I've read. Each guy fits one aspect of Kit's personality. They compliment her in the most ideal ways, each giving her something she needs. She never needs to compromise or change. Each guy believes she is perfect for them.Tate James has created an exceptional series. At any time it can go from deadly chases to sexy adventures in the same breath. The characters are so believable and relatable. One minute they are fighting, the next laughing, and then possibly panting. This book is such a fun read. The danger kept me on edge, I worried about secrets being exposed and the subsequent reactions, I was irritated and suspicious over the adult's actions. It's incredibly sexy but also has parts that I died laughing over. The ending was unexpected and I'm already worked up about the wait for The Crow's Murder! I've already pre-ordered it. I love, love love this book and this series.

I think I jinxed it because this book kind of disappointed me a bit
It was just in my review of the previous book where I raved about how phenomenally consistent this series is in terms of awesomeness. I think I jinxed it because this book kind of disappointed me a bit. But bear with me until I explain it.The thing is that after 3 previous books the world building and the characters are pretty established and there is no question that the author has an exceptional style. This means that the deciding factor is solely the storyline of each individual book. And that was really the reason I didn’t like this story as much as well. The plot compared to the previous ones was pretty nonexistence, the whole book focused on the steamy, spicy connection between Kit and her boys and when it came to the grand scheme of things, namely the supernatural threat, there is almost no progression. It was a shame and while I love the romance between Kit and the others and I especially like that this RH story is not one of the slow burn ones. For me it felt a bit like they were sitting around and waiting for the other shoe to drop instead of investigating and working to understand a bit more about Kit’s powers. Yes, there are a couple of revelations but they all happen in the background and you as the reader only get to know them second hand.I loved the romance part of the book, it was really exciting but it also was a bit boring if I look at it as a development in her relationship with the others because on that front there is not much of a change or progression, they settled into a comfortable dynamism and while its working if there is no move on either on the mystery side and either on the relationship side, then what’s the moving force behind the plot. However my favorite part of this book was new connection and playful banter between Kit and Austin. It was a welcomed change compared to the previous installment. So in the end while I love the series, adore the characters and the connection between them, also can’t wait for the next one because the explosive and cliffhangerish ending guarantees it, for me this book felt more like a companion novel thanks to the lack of meaningful development of the plot.

Addictive read
Trigger warnings ⚠️Wonderfully intense read that is totally addictive. The Viper's nest reads easier than the previous two books. However, the intensity between Kit and Austin is steaming up pages. When you read the books you don't realise how short time between every obstacle and dilemma, yet Kit hasn't lost her cool yet.The team is finding a cohesive bonding between them, with Kit as the anker. The drama and action are building up and we are in for a wild read.Highly recommended author, book and series.

"Kit Davenport" series book 4
Kit’s relationships with her 6 men are explored further, and she finally becomes intimate with all of them. There was perhaps too much focus on Austin when I would consider this his twin Caleb’s story, but then again the sexual tension between Kit and Austin is finally released in some very passionate love scenes. Kit remains a strong female lead who isn’t overwhelmed or cowed by 6 alpha personalities, but she’s still mastering her magic and absorbing more when she begins to magically bond to her men. There is plenty of action and some great moments of humour, plus a sturdier appearance from characters that Kit and her 6 men are right to be wary of. There is also an explosive cliff-hanger that leaves me wondering what will happen next to Kit. Luckily there’s not too long a wait for book 5; “The Crow’s Murder” is due for release at the end of this month. 4½ stars

and it did not disappoint in the slightest
I've been waiting very impatiently for this latest book to come out, and it did not disappoint in the slightest. We get more background on Kit and her powers, more Vali and more Wes, even quite a few laughs, amazing! Also, I completely fell in love with Austin which I could never have predicted in book one. Please hurry up and finish the next book Tate James, I need to know what happens next!

When can I get an Austin tattoo?
I loved the development in this book between Kit and Austin. Tyson can come visit me for belly rubs any day. The addition of Sam as well made me smile. I did however miss Cole and River somewhat as the story developed.

This series just gets better and better
I love how this series improves with every book. In this one we get a better sense of how the twins' magic works and we also get a lot of emotional development from everyone. Very excited to see what happens next, especially after that cliffhanger!
