This saved a LOT of tracing down wires. It plugged directly into my trucks wiring. The only issues I had were with the switched power and the reverse signal. I had to pick up switched power from the cigarette lighter and I put in a relay to bypass the reverse signal. I presume both issues might be because my truck is a 2019 (Ram) and they changed something. Still, fixing two issues is a lot simpler than tracing every speaker and other wire.

Very good product, very easy installation and well written instructions for installation. Zero complaints with this product!

At first it didn’t work, radio was getting no power. Thought it was an issue with the red power wire like some people have said. Turns out, I had to just plug it in, turn the truck on and wait about a min then it just turned on. Guess it took a minute for signals from the interface. Works perfect!

Plug n play, very simple to unstall as any harness. Installed a 10.4 double din and everything works as it should.

Purchased this for 2017 ram 1500 without the amplified system. The product listing says 2013 and Up which lead me to believe it would work for my system. Well, after installing it, it did nothing. I double checked everything and still nothing. I called Metra's tech support and waited about 45 minutes to talk to someone. As soon as i told the guy what I bought and what my vehicles was, he cut me off and said they already know about the issue. Per the technician, the newer RAM'S have a different code in which their module (the little black electrical box that comes with the harness) doesn't read and therefore its DOA. I had to bypass the module to get it to work with my aftermarket head unit. With that being said, $60+ for a now basic wiring harness is ridiculous. I am assuming the majority of the cost is due to the module which is useless. I didn't contact the seller because I already installed it in my car. Hopefully they update the description so people with a similar application to mine know they are just paying for an overpriced set of wires.
