Fun, but does take time
I am very pleased with this coffee grinder so far. Now it is a manual grinder so I knew it would take longer to grind coffee than if I had an electric one. I really appreciate the grip on the base of the jar so that it stays nicely snug against the counter when grinding. The ceramic blades do a nice job grinding the beans into an even, fine ground. I cleaned it when it first arrived about a month ago, but haven't cleaned it since. I have only used it for coffee beans so far. I owned a small cylinder manual coffee grinder before this one and I have to say I prefer this design. It is easier to hold, more even coffee grind, and love the glass jars with lids for storage - if I ever grind enough ahead of time to have anything to store - haha!. So far I'm really enjoying it. =)

Good product
After years of using electric coffee grinder to grind my herbs and spices I got tired of having to replace my electric coffee grinder’s when they inevitably broke. This manual grinder is so much easier to use and quite easy to clean sometimes it does get a little tedious cranking the shaft by hand but it actually makes for a more enjoyable experience. I would have given it five stars but the replacement cap for the extra jar that comes with it came broken so I just honestly can’t.

Easy to use and bonus value
I am very excited to write the first review of this product. First of all, it is a good buy. The price is reasonable. Second, it is easy to use and clean. I tried to grind the beans I bought, and it worked perfectly. It is not just the grinder, but a lot of fun it brings. I also received spare parts and an additional glass jar for the powder, which really added value to the purchase. I am so happy I bought it.

1min 45 seconds to grind an ounce. Pretty good for price.
I compared many grinders and found that the larger the ceramic grinder the quicker it is to grind. Also, the coarser the grind the quicker to grind. It took me about 1min 45 seconds to grind slightly less than an ounce on a more coarse french press setting. For me, this is about 2.5 cups in my french press.I like that it's glass and ceramic which both seem sturdy. The plastic and silicone pieces seem cheap, but it's nice to be able to peel back the silicone to pour in beans without having to unscrew the handle like many competitors require one to do.Something that worries me in terms of longevity is the grinder mechanism. It seems overly complicated with many small metal pieces. Every time I ground coffee I the thought "how long until I break this thing" kept going through my mind. It's made for repetitive pressure to be applied and I don't know if any of these low priced ones will last long.I feel that this can compete with the more expensive ones, but for less. So in terms of value it's probably up there and a good choice if you want to spend less than $80.In my quest I found one that I did like very much. I inevitably went with one from IKEA. It's called METALLISK and can be purchased in store and from Ikea online. It's comparably priced ($30). It's 100% stainless steel with a larger ceramic grinder. It takes me 50 seconds to grind roughly an ounce of beans. The ceramic portion is the largest so it grinds much faster. Plus the pieces are all stainless and feel sturdy. The one issue is that the capacity is less. It can probably only grind about 1.5 ounces at one time.

Amazing Hand Grinder
This is an amazing hand grinder. I primarily use it for coffee beans, so I can't vouch for other items. But for cold brews, this thing is absolutely amazing. You can adjust the shape to however you like, giving you complete control over how course or fine you want your grind. Amazingly, the pieces come apart very easily making it super easy to wash and clean. The extra glass container that comes with it comes in handy as well. I wouldn't recommend grinding anything over 40-45 grams though, as filling it to the brim can make it hard for the mechanisms inside to move around easily.

Prepare for a workout!
Do you want forearms like Popeye? Do you want shoulders like Dwayne The Rock Johnson? How about a chest like the great Arnold Schwarzenegger? Well you'll probably never get there using this device however due to the amount of rotations required to grind a moderate portion of coffee you will be more awake after the grinding process then you will be after the drinking process. It took me approximately 8 minutes to grind my coffee beans. I had to switch arms several times and it's not because I'm in bad shape it's because I didn't want uneven musculature hypertrophy on my arms. Not to mention that the handle portion where you grab onto is way too short compared to the length of the arm you are utilizing which makes it a very awkward manual grinding motion. I have no idea how this thing could be improved but it needs it. I unfortunately threw away the box do the item so I have no way to return it now. Maybe I will give it to one of my out-of-shape friends who loves coffee. Or maybe I'll give it to somebody I hate and want to make late to work. I really wanted to like this thing but unfortunately I am way too busy to spend 8 minutes or anything close to it, grinding coffee beans.

It is an arm workout, but worth the price!
First off, the reviews are correct, this is a manual grinder and thus, requires a good amount of arm work. I knew this when buying the product, and was prepared to get my weekly arm workout. It is easy to adjust course-to-fine grinding, and easy to clean. I will be using it weekly to make a big batch of cold brew. Thanks!

Decent Grinder
The plastic knob on the handle is rough and is difficult to use without some padding. The nut holding the handle loosens as you grind and needs to be continually tightened. Other than that it seems to work fine. The rubber cover that keeps the beans from jumping out while you grind is a nice touch,
