BEWARE... THEY DO NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY
I am completely disappointed. After a year, having used my mixer a couple of times, I decided to buy the grinder. White trying to operate de mixer along with the grinder, it just stopped working. It did not mix and a cracking nose could be heard. This did not bother me a bit, since I had purchased two Asurion Warranty plans that would cover not only the mixer, but my entire purchase of a mixer plus a beater. Following are the plans I bought.4 Year Kitchen ProtectionPlan $30-39.99Sold by: Asurion, LLC$6.99ASURION 4 Year Kitchen Protection Plan $300-349.99Sold by: Asurion, LLC$44.99For a total of $55.62.To make a long story short, Asurion did not honor the warranty for my entire purchase. They did not honor de ASURION 4 Year Kitchen Protection Plan $300-349.99. They paid me $ 39.99 which covered the accessory, which is what I bought that warranty for,KitchenAid KFEW6L Flex Edge Beater for 6-Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixers - WhiteSold by: Amazon.com Services LLCReturn and product support eligibility$39.99They ended up giving me $ 289.96 for the mixer, from the Warranty of ASURION 4 Year Kitchen Protection Plan $300-349.99, which as you may see dos not even cover what I purchase. They claim that they paid with both warranties the total cost of my mixer $ 329.95. But what about my accessory. KitchenAid Professional 600 Series KP26M1XER Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer, 6 Quart, SilverSold by: Gourmet Kitchen$329.95When I submitted the initial claim, the instructions called for the return of the entire purchase, which is what I did. Bottom line, buying this expensive piece of equipment along with a warranty and to not receive the warranty which in part would have helped me to replace the item is absolutely unacceptable. I spoke with numerous people in Asurion and Amazon and up to this day (this all started in May) I did not get a satisfactory resolution.I DO NOT RECOMEND BUYING A WARRANTY FROM ASURION. They will keep your broken, appliance, wont honor the warranty and probably fix it and sell it refurbished. BAD BAD BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. I have been a Prime member for the las 5 years, i have bought countless of items along with warranty plans, but no more, not ever. BEWARE OF THIS PRACTICE.

IT'S A SCAM
I reached out via email 3xs and finally called. The rep assured me that I would get an ecredit for the >$32.xx that I paid for the blender(within 24hrs). 4 days later, I received an email advising they were refunding 7.50 (the warranty purchase amount, not the blender refund amount) to my card that purchased the warranty. Asurion is scamming on this. I wish I could give this/them -1 star.

I Got Billed But Never Purchased This.
Didn't want to give this any "stars" rating, but it's required. So ZERO stars.I purchased a toaster, and when I got my order confirmation as I normally do with Amazon purchases, I also got a confirmation for an order that I was being billed for, for a protection plan that I never ordered. I don't buy protection plans for major appliances, so I certainly wouldn't purchase one for a toaster. It's been quite complicated to cancel the order. I filed a complaint, was given a link to Asurion that didn't work, even after several attempts at exactly following directions to do so. I finally called, and I was told that it must have been "a glitch with Amazon", and the purchase would be credited to my account within a few weeks.Bottom line is, while the amount was under $10, I don't like the fact that I was charged for something I never ordered and that I had to spend time trying to cancel a purchase I never made.

They Honor their Warranties
I had a problem with a Proctor Silex 1.5qt slow cooker and the manufacturer wouldn't honor their warranty so I was thrilled that i had taken out a warranty with Asurian who gave me an Amazon credit. I spent $6.99 on the warranty which, of course, I am out of that money, but at least I didn't lose the entire amount. I highly recommend taking out an extended warranty if it is offered.

Borderline scam opt-out-only add-on
I was ordering a few very cheap items and was in a rush. I fully admit it was my mistake "ordering" this more or less useless policy for the nearly disposable household appliance I was buying, but it was the default choice and I just flicked through things. Like I said, I was in a rush. As ALWAYS, opt IN, not opt OUT should be the default. Also as ALWAYS, any company allowing this type of thing could justly be accused of hoping to make a few extra dollars every time this type of mistake happened. If the opt-out default window pops up for every kitchen product ordered on amazon, I would assume there could be hundred or thousand of opportunities per minute to generate profits out of peoples' casual mistakes. The cancellation process has not been trivial either, even though I attempted to do so only minutes after the mistake was made. I'm still waiting days later to see if I get my money back.Consumers really don't like these kinds of practices. If I do buy a product protection policy in the future - for example for one of the more expensive kitchen products I buy from amazon, I am going to make it a point NEVER to purchase one from this company ASURION. I would encourage other customers to follow suit until they switch to opt-in only. It is, unfortunately, really the only way to police their behavior.
