Maitreya's Teachings: The Laws of Life

One beauty of a book like this is ... it's transformative power. A pretty big claim, I consider it justified.It is often said that if you read Krishnamurti, and apply his teachings, you can change, transform. I think you may find this equally true in "Maitreya's Teachings." --- If you take to heart Maitreya's words, you will find them literally transformative. Money back, guaranteed ... .What I found was that the writer's, that is 'the "associate's" true meaning filtered through; communicating the essence of Maitreya's views. Interestingly, the teachings are both 'nothing new'- and completely life altering.It proved totally worth the effort; the 'staying with it'- as when reading Krishnamurti, or Ramana Maharshi, Paramahansa Yogananda, or Sai Baba.Here's an example of what 'Maitreya's associate' conveys, which is an aspect of Maitreya's teachings: "All are trying to understand the truth. For this, mind, spirit and body must be disciplined. Everything then falls into the right perspective. If you say: "My way is right; what others experience is not right," you create destruction. People experience the Lord in different ways. Do not judge others. Judge situations and become aware, but remain detached."If you give that its due, I think you will find you are dealing with the highest teaching. And remember - these are 'the associate's' words, conveying Maitreya's teaching, filtered through the associate's experience and expression. However in-familiarly expressed - 'the Light shines through.' You will also find - throughout the book - Maitreya's words quoted directly."Maitreya's Teachings" also offers very clear insights into: the Law of Karma; the law of cause and effect, and, the current state of the world, the transformation all humanity is undergoing, and the many energies and forces- macro to micro- that are in play.The book also offers further insights into the emergence of Maitreya - and the principle of sharing - and 'the technology of light,' the technology of the future.Benjamin Creme, who edited this book, has once again - see his extraordinary "The Gathering of the Forces of Light"- presented us with a book that is at once informative and inspirational.

This is an Incredibly insightful book. The Eastern philosophies postulate that when dharma or righteousness is lost in the world a great teacher is sent to restore it, or rather, to help mankind to retrieve it by reminding them of their true, divine origin. The Christian, Muslim and Jewish religions too expect the return of a great teacher who will, in one way or the other, expand on teachings given in earlier times. The teachings in this book, so simple yet so profound, indicate that this teacher is now in the world. He has come to show us simpler, more sane ways of living that are achieved through honesty of mind, sincerity of spirit and detachment. In this New Age we will come to realize that the God immanent and God transcedent of all the major world religions actually represent two paths that will eventually lead us back to our Source. Once we begin to see ourselves as we truly are, Souls in incarnation, and when we put into practice Maitreya's teachings, we will find ourselves travelling quite quickly on this royal road towards enlightenment. In the book it is summarized most clearly: Self-realization is God-realization.

One of the best spiritual books I've ever read to date. Can just feel the energy emanating from this book when you're reading.

This book gives a depth of teachings from the Ageless Wisdom. Do we ever look further than man made laws? Have we thought there may be laws of the universe? This book should be placed in the libraries of all correction facilities where folk with little opportunity have the time to ponder such topics as reincarnation - interconnectedness - do we need to struggle for existence through competition? - how to live in harmony with ourselves and others? Growth through psychological change? A guide to living life on a troubled planet.

This book definitively gives a new insight into life. Its purpose, its meaning, and how to better go through it all.It has some outdated data, but all in all, I highly recommend it.

This book is a very important book for our time. It strikes in the heart of the reader what is important...ourselves, eachother, and all of life is most important. Call this book "The Art of Making all of Life Special and Unique". An Earth where there is unity in Diversity, as the Unity expands, the Diversity expands as well.

This is my favourite of Benjamin Cremes writings as it goes into the all important process of the art of self realisation. I find these teachings on self realisation act like a key that opens knowledge I have read from other spiritual teachers.

Maitreya's teachings and insights gives me hope! Thank you benjamin! I read a little every day to process in a better light!

This work is amazing and I am now re-reading it for second time and am sure I will re-read again and again..........very positive and if you look at the world as of today you can see it all happening around us!
