The Sassy Electronic Farm puzzle helps baby learn their shapes while engaging their fine and gross motor skills. The chicken, cow and pig make real-life animal sounds and are tethered to the board so they don’t get lost. 6+ Months.

Great training puzzle!
As a toddler mom and early childhood special educator, I am always on the lookout for great learning materials.Things I love about this product:This puzzle is a great stepping stone for little ones who are not quite able to complete inset knob puzzles. This is for two reasons: (1) it has a smaller field size than most inset puzzles (i.e. it has only three pieces, as opposed to the 5-10 many others have); (2) the pieces are attached to the puzzle with short strings—this serves as a prompt for the child, as it prevents putting the piece in the wrong space. This also prevents the child from throwing pieces (my little one’s favorite activity!) These features set the child up for success, which I love. When the pieces are pressed down into their spaces, the puzzle produces the corresponding animal sound. Not only does this help to teach the child animal sounds, it also serves as reinforcement and immediate feedback for correctly placing the puzzle piece. This motivates my son (who usually prefers to throw or tap puzzle pieces together) to actually place the pieces in the correct spaces! My one suggestion for product improvement would be to modify the material quality. The puzzle is made of light-weight and somewhat flimsy plastic. I am unsure of how long it will stand up to my toddler’s rough play but we are a few months in and it’s still in one piece!

Captivates toddlers
The toddlers (below age 3) in my classroom have been playing with this toy nonstop for the last 3 months. Therefore, I can say both the electronics and the strings that attach the animal faces to the board are very sturdy. Because the strings attach the animal faces to the board there are never any lost puzzle pieces. Our 1-year-olds really like to throw toys and puzzle pieces in the trash. The pig and cow sounds are very authentic and therefore, pretty obnoxious. But it's such a popular toy I wish there were more sound puzzles with the pieces attached like this one.

Great puzzle!
Bought this for my granddaughter's first birthday. I like the fact that the puzzle pieces stay attached to the puzzle, so the pieces don't get lost! The puzzle also makes cute animal sounds when the pieces are placed. Bonus--sound is not loud, and it can be turned off with the on/off switch!

Great first shape sorter
I got really excited when my one year old got one of the shapes in on her own several times in a row, but she cannot yet press it hard enough to make any sounds. I like the fact that the animals are attached to it by a short string (that way I know she won't lose it). This is a great first shape sorter.

No missing pieces ever!
I love this puzzle for older babies and toddlers. No pieces to lose! Kids really love the animal sounds too. I wish they’d make more of these in different styles.

Don’t Bother!
Small, cheap plastic thing. Sounds are barely audible.

Kids love it.
Four stars because it is difficult to remove and secure battery compartment cover.

If animals drank whiskey
Bizarre non realistic animal sounds. Animals sound like they might be intoxicated, with the exception of the chick. The bright colors are the only pleasant feature in my opinion.
