Chuckit!Erratic Ball Dog Fetch Toy, Medium (2.5 Inch) 1-Pack

The unpredictable bouncing keeps my puppy interested. It is the first toy he gets out of his toy box. He is not a huge dog but has torn up all his other toys but this one.

Both my dogs love these. Very sturdy. I recommend.

These balls do work, but they bouncy prettymuch like a regular chuck it ball. They do NOT fit in the chuck it handheld ball launcher, which makes them a pain to throw. The green color also makes them somewhat challenging to find when the grass is long.That said, they do work as intended, and the dogs like them the same as all the other chuck it balls we own. As the person who had to throw them, my advice would be to just get the round balls that fit in the ball launcher.Durability: 9/10 they hood together better than the traditional balls without the hole (that crack down the seam over time). These have yet to crack despite the same wear and tear.Pros: durable, dogs like them, they do sink in waterCons: green color, hard to fit in handheld ball launcher

The only reason I’m giving it four stars is because it not really erratic. If you’re throwing or bouncing it inside you will get some of the erratic bouncing (throwing it in one direction and it bounces in another direction). If you are throwing it outside on grass, dirt, or hilly areas you are not likely to get the “erratic” bouncing.I bought this ball to be able to identify it from other chuckits at the dog park, so it didn’t bother me that the other reviews for it said that it doesn’t have an erratic bounce.

I have used the orange and blue ChuckIt Balls for years -- even buying them for our police dogs. My blind dog loves to play fetch so I got the green balls to add to the orange balls and his kong so he would have different experiences with balls. My two dogs and I all prefer the green Chuckit! balls. They bounce higher, the different shapes on the surface give more interesting and varied sounds. They bounce higher and better going more in a straight line than the orange and blue balls. Best of all, my blind dog controls the movement of the green ball when it comes to a stop. It doesn't get away from him and keep rolling if he pounces on it like the orange and blue ball. It moves, but doesn't escape him. I highly recommend this ball for blind dogs. It is much more engaging.

I purchased these thinking they would be a good size ball for my large lab puppy but in truth they are a lot smaller than a tennis ball and to the point she would probably choke on them.Instead of giving them to my larger dogs I have given one each to my friend's Westie and my temporary 'office dog' a small/medium mixed breed. My office dog friend loves hers to the point it had to be taken away as it was a distraction (oops!) and the Westie who is normally not a fan of toys also gives it his approval.These are tough rubber balls that bounce all over the place when you throw them but are also fun for a game of catch.

They work as a ball but there not very erratic unless you are throwing on a solid surface such as concrete. My dog and I play fetch in fields and the ball doesn't really move erratically on softer ground,

My German Shepherd Husky mix loves to catch balls.So I decided to take it to the next level and make it more interesting for us.The erratic ball, you never know in which direction it will fly off to, which keep my dog very focused to follow through. Her dog pals at the park were all confused at first but they adapted and it was fun for all!The Chuckit products are well worth the price and its about the only toy, she has yet been able to decapitate, so I'm very happy for the longevity.

...I thought it was a wonderful purchase; however my 7 yo Border Collie "Larry" lost interest! I certainly don't blame the product and will bring it out again later to see if Larry's attention factor has changed (he was newly adopted at the time of purchase - so no doubt needs some time to settle in). I still recommend the product - I have lots of fun with it!!

My dog loves this thing. She cant get enough of it. Her favorite ball for sure and she is spoiled with lots of different ones.
