Engineer's Hammer, 48 oz BIG BLUE, Shock Reduction Grip, E6-48E

I have never understood why anyone would buy oversears products when you can buy quality MADE IN USA. strong steel, well balanced, perfectly made. Perfect for medium demo. If i ever lost this BIG BLUE i woukd immediately order another two.

I do heavy steel fabrication work everyday. I’ve found Eastwing to be the best hammers available. I’ve had a 2 pound and 4 pound blacksmiths hammer for 2 years and used them extensively. Both have fiberglass handles. Both are now loose through hammer head. I found this engineers hammer and purchased due to the solid steel, one piece construction. This hammer is amazing! Extremely well balanced and extremely tough. Knocking I beams into place, to smashing worn 60” excavator bucket shanks off cutting edges to breaking concrete around beam pockets, this hammer is unstoppable. Get it. You will be amazed with the power generated with out major effort.

I was looking for a hammer of this weight (a little less than the 6 lb Groz sledge that I carry on the van) for thumping and bashing. I have an array of Estwing old school framing hammers, and others that I’ve owned and used for years. This hammer was also 1/2 the price of some of the other good quality 48 oz. hammers I was looking at.

So happy to find a hammer made in the USA! I bought it to split wood and it does it well! Perfect weight to split my wood. Worth every penny! Excellent handling and well made.

Estwing has done it again. This hammer is well balanced and durable as it gets. The one piece construction means nothing to come loose or break.

I really like Estwing tools. I have several hammers and crowbars and they are all awesome. Great weight, very durable and made in the United States! 5 Stars!!!

I'm a geology student and I love to smash the diggity out of hard rocks with this thing. Don't get me wrong, the classic E-wing 22 is great for average use in weaker rocks, lighter too, but in a field area full of volcanics or tough seds you just need something... stronger. Occasionally you might get that end of the day meh mindset and feel the urge to randomly smack the facies off some brutally resistant quartzite, or bust some basalt right in the olivines, and this thing is perfect for that. I just wish E-wing made a version with a pointed tip for those occasions where you need to dig a bit or pry, maybe like a sledge-mattock but with the forged metal handle and quality construction instead of the insanely overpriced, overly long and fragile wood or fiberglass handle versions that are out there. Once I move on from the geology student world, I'm sure I'll still have this thing on me for weekend rockhounding trips. Unfortunately, I doubt there's many geologists left in the world that still use rockhammers more than computers, kind of a bummer since it's so much fun to smash rocks and call it "work".

No complaints. Only the handle does not say estwing and only USA. Not sure if it's a knock off.

I've only used it for shifting walls while forming concrete basement once and it does the job very well. Also bought the 4lb fireside friend and estwing 30ounce hammer which are both great but I still need a 16 and a 22 ounce estwing

Lo compré pues leí en reseñas de USA en varias páginas que este era uno de los mejores martillos (para fines prácticos en México lo consideramos "mazo"), que pueden ser útiles para tareas en roca volcánica dura, como las que encuentras en prácticas o prospecciones de geología, así que pensé que sería duradero para romper concreto y enderezar marcos de metal, no me equivoqué, hoy llegó y hoy mismo lo probé, se comportó perfecto con el concreto y enderezando un marco de acero de una puerta, como extra lo probé en unos pedazos de basalto que tenía sobrantes, prácticamente este mazo no sufrió daños, tiene buen equilibrio para tareas de golpeo y es bastante cómodo; sugiero colocarle una buena correa pues a la hora que se llena de polvo tiende a deslizarse un poco de la mano al dar golpes muy fuertes y aunque no me sucedió, puede llegar a deslizarse de la mano, sin duda se quedará dentro de mi caja de herramientas junto con otro martillo Estwing y un Vaughan (de uña, y otro de ingeniero con punta de bola), estas marcas me encantan porque son muy duraderas.

Era para un regalo y le encantó. Muy buena relación calidad precio.
