They work great great for fastening a table top. I especially like how sturdy they are. The package includes the screws (3/4" long)

I am overall very satisfied with these and the value for the money. The only issue is some inconsistency in the depth of the countersink, leaving the heads of some screws proud of the fastener. Most can be flipped around for a deeper countersink on the other side however. Not a big deal, but something to watch for if your relief cuts on your furniture framing are needing to be as shallow as possible.

I used these to connect a table top to a base. They were solid and straight (which I read in other similar products is not always true of these). I used a 3/8 forstner bit, and the fit was exact. The screws (I used #6) were flush (the figure 8 is slightly recessed to allow the screw to sit into the hardware). Good product.

I have used several methods for attaching table tops to the base. This figure 8 fastener works as well as any. Easy to use and to easy to attach the table top. Great little product.

Great for diy table tops

I was a bit surprised when I received these fasteners because all of the figure 8s I've used in the past have a 3/4 inch diameter feature on one end and a 5/8 diameter feature on the other end. These have a 5/8 diameter feature on both ends which was unexpected. Also, the machining for the counter sink was rough which is just a visual issue. However, they functioned well in my application and their strength was just fine. The next time I order this type of hardware, I will look more carefully at the dimensions and order the 3/4 inch - 5/8 inch units.
