Beautiful Paperweight *Edited
*One star to four, update below.****Doesn't work. Hard starting, then started smoking. I followed all of the directions and watched the videos. I knew it would be hard starting, and believed it would be until broken in. Unfortunately once it started and was running I let it sit to warm up, and smoke started rolling out of it. I bought it in late June but didn't get it out to use until today, so I'm outside the 30 return window. On the phone, on hold waiting to speak with a Husq associate for technical support. Let's see how this goes. *Update I hung up after 10 minutes of wasting and just kept trying. Turns out the clutch was locked despite double checking it multiple times. I believe Husqvarna collaborated with the Rubiks cube engineers to design this one. My right deltoid is now very pronounced. I will need to learn how to start it left handed to even out the muscles. Once I got it figured out, it worked greatish mostly. If I could return it and upgrade to a better model of Husq, I would.

questionable reviews
I got this saw the other day. After buying it I read the reviews on Amazon and almost sent it back. It seems a lot of people had issues with the starting and operation of this saw. As I have owned a larger Husky saw for over twenty years, I decided to give it a chance. I spent 40 years as an electrical lineman and so I have used a lot of saws in my time. I will say that the Stihl brand seems to be more popular among those that do a lot of tree work. However, I prefer the Husky as I find them more rugged overall. Not that Stihl isn't a fine offering and typically a lighter saw which is a big factor when you are using it above your shoulders for any length of time. So I was very pleased when this saw started on the third pull and ran flawlessly for about an hour of limbing. It is a bit on the heavy side for a smaller saw but not so much as to make it fatiguing. I will admit that I had to adjust the chain brake right out of the box, but as I have a policy of removing the chain and bar when starting a new saw for the first time it was no big deal. This makes it less dangerous and also makes the power unit much easier to start. I gave the bubble three pumps, just enough to see a small amount of fuel in the bulb, and it ran and idled well for the hour I used it. I'm glad I bought this saw and so far would recommend it highly. It's manufactured in Sweden and assembled in the U.S. so as I'm a fan of anything Svenska I will say this is a great piece of equipment.

ADJUST THE IDLE OR IT WON'T RUN
ADJUST THE IDLE OR IT WON'T RUNGot my saw in the other day. Filled it up with Husqvarna oil and high octane gas. Started up great. Perfect, I thought. I read all these reviews about it being hard starting, it won't run, etc. Guess I got one of the good ones!So I begin cutting with the saw and it just won't stay running. And, when it dies, it does NOT start back up. I start adjusting the low/high adjustments with a special tool I bought on Amazon for about $7. No dice. Then I notice a small screw, right behind the pull cord, with a flat head on it. I turn it a little bit and the saw started right up. In fact, now it runs so well I don't want to use my other saws. I believe Husqvarna tunes the idle when these saws are cold and in perfect conditions. Altitude is also a concern. Turn that screw and your saw will be fixed.I'll be cutting a lot of wood in the future - if I have ANY issues whatsoever I'll update this review. Only 4 stars until this saw proves itself 100%

Great value
Great lightweight wood cutting machine. I have already cut up the trees I had to cut. I can see many more seasons out of this little saw.

Started up in sub freezing temps last weekend, not sure why others are struggling
To be fair, I’ve never owned another chainsaw.Bought this last year, have used it probably a dozen times around the property and while camping, finally felt the need to get the chain sharpened last week for the first time. Not sure why everyone else is saying this is hard to start. They either didn’t mix properly or don’t understand chokes. I pulled this out of my truck in 32 degree weather and got it started in four pulls this last Sunday, it runs great.

Starts in 2 to 3 pulls! Husqvarna 120 mark II
After reading the reviews on many saws, I assumed that they were all hard to start so I purchased a carb adjusting tool and watched youtube videos on the process. Right out of the box, mine started on the second pull. So far I really like the saw (light home use). One other big thing I noticed is that is does NOT leak ALL of the bar oil out while setting like other saws do. A small amount will run out right after use but that's it. Seems like a great saw for the money.

Good saw but took time to break in
First of all this is about as inexpensive as I could find for any name brand 16” chainsaw. So I was happy for the price but honestly would have paid a little more than similar specs from other less reputable brands. Starts great. However out of the box, the saw was unable to reach cutting speed or power and was stalling constantly when full throttle or contacting a log, no matter how slow I took it to max power. Unable to cut.2nd day - same issue. Adjusted the throttle screw and that solved the low power issue. However I had to go from idle directly to full throttle or it would stall. Which I believe is not good for any chainsaw - esp a new one... also seemed to stall a lot when pointing upward to reach for limbs. Cut the heck out of some limbs.3rd use. Stalled when trying to get full power but once it warmed up it was fine. Didn’t seem to stall but wasn’t pointing it up. Just doing limbs on the ground. Will update review later. Maybe just breaking in, but seems unusual.4th use - upped a star. Saw warmed up faster this time. Less stalls.5th use - saw didn’t stall. Ran fast and cut some fallen limbs and then made quick work cutting down a 25 foot oak tree to firewood sizeSeems like this chainsaw needed to break in. It runs nicely now

Started first time for less than 10 seconds then won't start again
The chain saw that I purchased for my husband for Christmas was attempted to be used for the first today. Following the directions closely to get it running the engine kicked and it ran for less than 10 seconds. It stalled out and now he can't get it started again.Took it in to the local dealer and they got it started but after a couple of weeks it will not start again. Moral of the story is by from a local dealer who will set-up the chain saw and show you how to use it.

Hard to start, difficult to keep running.
Use high octane gas keep it really clean, changed the plug several times but it is always difficult to start and to keep running.
