Not as hot but still great
This is my third Jess Michaels book to read within a week . I was an avid historical romance novel reader years ago. My life got busy and I put the books down. I started traveling a lot and last month picked up a few to start reading again. At first I was annoyed. It seemed like the same old plot and a few sex scenes that barely caught my attention. And then last week I stumbled on Jess Michaels books. The first book had me roaring and I could not stop from reading the whole thing. In fact I reread the book again the next day.I will spare you the mundane reader description of what happens in the book. This book pales a bit compared to the other two I just read. Nothing Denied and To Pleasure a Lady. The book did start off with a great plot. But with Jess Michael books the ending always seems abrupt and something is amiss. And now I am finding myself skipping through the "villain" part just to get to the end.One example in the ending would be when she wrote him a letter. I think instead of asking him to come over, she should have sent him a letter like the ones he was sending her anonymously.

A roller coaster love affair that you don't want to end...
I read quite a lot of historical romances, so when I came across "Something Reckless" I was immediately interested in the plot for this book (the shrewd and rake). Nothing in this story disappointed me and my heart was left on a roller coaster that I never wanted to end. I love how Jess Michaels built a friendship with an underlying tone of smoldering attraction that seeped off the pages. Jeremy and Penelope's relationship builds until it becomes a fire that ignites into a tale of lust, love and betrayal that pulls at your heartstrings. They are two very likable characters that you root for from the beginning, and their interactions don't seem odd or unbelievable; just real, genuine. I loved watching their story unfold, and I could almost see how Jeremy's betrayal played out right before my eyes. My heart raced and fell for both Penelope and Jeremy, as I was rooting for them from the beginning. It's a must read for anyone that enjoys a historical romance set in the backdrop of London.I look forward to reading more of her books in this collection - bravo Ms. Michaels!

Good Second Book in the Series
I really liked this second part of the series. Once again Jess Michaels really brings the characters alive. While I did not like Pen at all as much as I liked Miranda, and thought the story was weaker than Something Forbidden, I still thoroughly enjoyed the story. I hope there will be another in the series that will cover the youngest sister, and show us more of the characters from the first two books, especially Ethan and Miranda.

Great 2nd book in the series
I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the characters as they had real depth. My only complaint that would keep me from giving it . 5 stars was the ending seemed a little abrupt. I would have very much liked an epilogue to round things out.

Intriguing read
I liked the continuation of the sisters' stories in this second one. I was glad to see that Penelope would joy be held to her original marriage either. Typical story similar to Miranda and Ethan's but good over all.

Not bad...
I like Jess Michaels books and was surprised to see that this book was about Penelope who was sister to the heroine in EVERYTHING FORBIDDEN. For some strange reason she felt that she had to sacrifice her life by entering into a bad yet respectable marriage. I have to say I found Penelope annoying but thankfully the hero softened her up abit.Good as a light read but not really a hot book.

Something sexy and fun!
Hot. Steamy. This series has the steam of 50 Shades of Grey -- but set in Victorian times with very strong women who know what they want! FUN!

Okay, not as reckless as it could've been!
This book was just okay for me. I enjoyed Everything Forbidden much better. However, some of the scenes were steamy but still something missing. The heroine didn't come across as a very strong woman, she was just extremely jaded and weak. The hero was likable. I don't know maybe I just didn't quite enjoy the premise of the story, didn't really intrigue me too much.
