It's just as good!
Ralph Moody nails it once again with Mary Emma & Company. I was reluctant to buy it only because I have loved Little Britches, Man of the Family, and The Home Ranch so much that I wanted to "end" on a high note. Mary Emma offers another powerful glimpse of how the Moodys strategize and prioritize to make a living in Boston. Mrs. Moody is a courageous, astute mother who continues to lead the family making good decisions. Ralph is equally hard-working and his sister, Grace continues to take charge-in a good way! Once again, our entire family enjoyed reading their story! Son aged 9, daughter aged 11 and the parents. Enjoy!

Wonderful
Another wonderful book in the Ralph Moody series. I'm reading these with my nine-year-old son, and he loves them. I wish I had found these when I was a kid.

Great series of books!
I've been reading this series to my 4 children ages 7-15 and we all love them. We can't wait for read aloud time each day!

A Great Continuation of "Man of the Family"
This book is part of a series. Every book is a treasure. This book continues the story of "Man of the Family" and "Little Britches". A widow and her family are forced to move to Boston with very little beyond there determination and the will to work hard. Along the way they encounter set-backs and opportunities. Through it all they never lose faith in God or the abilities they are blessed with. This entire series should be read by families everywhere.

Beautiful story.
We need more books that highlight the family, faith and hard work. A great series to read to the family out loud.

Mary Emma & Company
I love all of Ralph Moody's books, and this is one of his best. Of course reading the series in order makes the books more meaningful. Ralph Moody can serve as an inspiration for children even in our modern age--and his story is true! I am amazed that some of the junk kids read that passes for literature is in the forefront when authors like Ralph Moody can't even be found in most libraries. He was having his adventures when my parents were young, and that makes it more meaningful for me. I have given many of his books as gifts for my grandchildren.

Can’t get enough!!
I started with Little Britches as a read aloud for my kids. Then I bought the 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the series.....for myself!! Now I need to get the next one. Poignant, funny, sad, sweet, adventurous, and so enjoyable.
