Perfect for the person who loves walking around as they talk
The headset system is very good, a bit expensive but has worked perfectly for exactly what I need it for. Pro: Very good range - i've not found the maximum range yet as i've walked out of my house and across the street and it still works for me without fading or noise. Very clear audio - I can hear everything I need to Everyone hears me clearly Can be used with different kinds of headsets (comes with an over the head, and the on the ear loop) Cons: A bit expensive in my opinion I wish the headset knew when it was not in use and would turn off My previous headset was an Plantronics S series headset that was wired, while the mobility was not there, it was cheap, clear, and performed almost as good as this but it was wired, which eventually my dog ripped apart one day while jumping on me. I mentioned that it would be nice if the headset knew when it was not in use, because I was used to the previous headset mentioned, and I would just take it off. Since I forget to take the ear piece and put it on the charger, I wake up sometimes and have a dead headset.

Great product with one flaw
I'm overly happy with this headset. I use it on a Cisco IP communicator soft phone on my computer. It sounds great, and has great range. Once in a while I hear a strange buzzing noise, but I'm guessing it's just interference on the channel. The flaw, and I do think it's pretty big, as I stated, I use this to talk to people through my computer using Cisco software, so you'd think there were be a feature on the headset to allow you to answer the phone when your away from your desk. What's the point of having a 400 foot range, if you need to be at your desk to answer the phone. If there is a feature that I'm missing that allows you to remotely answer your phone, I can't find it myself. Other than being desk bound, it's a great product and would highly recommend.

Jury is still out - updated - looking good
Was very excited to get this up and running for my home office. Set up was very easy and instructions were pretty straightforward Unfortunately for now it is unusable due to horrendous feedback/interference noise audible to whoever you're talking with (even with microphone muted) - have adjusted the radio range, other advanced settings with no luck. Even when interference dies down, the audio quality is poor. HOWEVER - the telephone I'm hooked up to also uses DECT 6.0 so I've ordered a Fred Flinstone phone with no DECT capabilities to see if that diminishes the interference issue. Will update review with the new set up. But be warned, if you are using a DECT 6.0 expandable phone system - this headset will probably not fit your needs 3/17/2012 Works great with a featureless non RF phone - very satisfied 3/28/2012 Have been using this now for a couple of weeks - it is hands down the best headset I've used. I actually thought I'd be annoyed by the low beep when I'm on mute, but I have found it to be incredibly helpful in reminding me when i'm not audible (or when I am). Voice quality is outstanding, range is great - I can walk throughout my house (and on to the patio) with no diminution of quality

An otherwise good headset has frustrating flaws can be embarrassing on calls
While the wireless range, comfort and call quality of the headset are good there are a couple of fairly glaring design flaws that can be very problematic during calls. First the mute button. It's really inexcusable that they haven't fixed the mute button's "sticking" problem that makes it lockup while being pressed so that you cannot mute or unmute until you jiggle it enough to find the "sweet spot" This is a serious issue that has made it very difficult to mute the headset (or unmute) when needed. The second issue is the call answer/hangup button and use with Windows apps. If you pickup the headset from the cradle AFTER you've started say a Skype call... then you push the connect button to connect the headset to the base... you will hang up the call. This is another design issue that should have been corrected years ago as it's purely a software issue on the Sennheiser side. Sennheiser should change the software to NOT hang up calls if the headset is not connected to the base (when you press the connect button). I've called Headsets.com about this (they provide support for Sennheiser on these headsets) and was told I'd be called back by their team that interfaces with Sennheisers development staff to discuss... and have never received any calls.

The headset is excellent, delivers on all the expectations. I have no been able to walk out of range in my house and the battery life is superior to anything I have used in the past. The only thing that could be better is its interaction with Microsoft Lync. I use this headset on a Macbook pro and I also use Microsoft Lync fro instant messaging. Whenever Lync is launched it takes over the headset and interferes with the planned usage for my soft-phone. Therefore I am no longer able to use Lync while using the headset with my soft-phone. I have researched the issue and also contacted Tech support, the issue also occurred with windows and other applications like skype for business. There has been a firmware update for windows released by Sennheiser but there is no F/W update for the latest Mac OS, so be informed if you plan to buy this for use with Mac and you use Lync. My interaction with the tech support team at Headsets.com was very positive but they came to the same conclusion as I did as to the solution needs to be a f/w update. If Sennheiser delays too long on getting the F/W update my rating may change.

This is the headset you have been looking for. Yes, it's expensive; it's worth it. I tried to make do with an inferior headset for the past year and a half and as soon as I tried this one, I regretted having waited that long to make the switch. It works incredibly well with Dragon and doesn't have the mic pairing issues that some other headsets do. Plus, the over the head version is super comfortable. I can't recommend this highly enough.

Probably a great unit, but not for use with cell phone - sadly. If that was listed in the description, I didn't read it. I was hoping to set it up with my VOIP and had some issues with a land line and then thought it could work with my cell, but sadly not an option. Style and weight (super light) were great though. Never got a chance to use it.

For the price, this was just not up to par. I had to call support to get it working at first. Needed some resets and some upgrades to work with my computer. The autosense to switch to the computer only worked half the time and interfered with being able to manually switch between desk phone and computer. Also it buzzed occasionally that both sides could hear. I gave up on it and went back to the Plantronics W740. Although the W740 is a bit more in cost, it's much better value. I will give it one thing. The battery life is great. When it's not buzzing the sound is also good.
