These Sony ear pads provide a tight seal so that you can experience the full bass response generated by the MDR-7506 phones. These pads replaced cheaper, generic pads that I had bought some years ago when the original pads wore out. The generic pads were made of harder foam than the originals. The only way to get a tight seal was to press them against my ears! When the generics wore out, I purchased these Sony pads, which are made of softer foam for a tight seal on the ear. Now I get the full bass response generated by the phones. No need to press them against my ears any longer.This is not to say that other generic pads may not work for you. I only know that these original pads work great. Installation is no fun, but that goes for any of these pads.

My old Sony MDR-7506 Professional headphones work perfectly, but the ear cushions were so worn and brittle that they would leave tiny black flecks on the sides of my face and ears. I bought these Genuine replacement ear pad cushions, and a few minutes later, I had new-looking and comfortable earphones again. They fit perfectly, were easy to attach, appear to be brand-new material, and look great. They should last years.

These fit perfectly, are easy to install, and are quite comfy on the ears. These replaced worn out original ear pads, and are exactly like them. Good value and worth the price.

A wee bit hard to install, for me anyway.

I've owned a pair of Sony MDR-7506 headphones for 20 years. I originally used them to monitor on-camera sound as a wedding & event videographer. For the last 14 years, I've used them for music production. In recent years, I feed them music from a PreSonus Audiobox USB 96, but the original headphone pads had ripped open on the inside, exposing the yellow foam. With the pads damaged, the headphones lost their ability to project a lot of low and midrange frequencies, leaving the 'phones sounding "tinny" like an old transistor radio. I'd been considering replacing the 7506's with Audio-Technicas or another set of Sony headphones. I spent a lot of time in stores listening to various headphones and was nearly ready to order when I stumbled across these replacement pads on Amazon. I was reluctant to buy the less-expensive off-brand pads after reading customer reviews. I'm glad I selected the OEM Sony pads, because they are not only lightweight and comfortable, but they have restored the low and midrange frequencies that have been missing from my MDR-7506 headphones. Buying these pads literally saved me at least $100 to achieving the balanced, articulate tone of the MDR-7506 'phones. I recommend them to any MDR-7506 owner. I might buy another pair just in case.

These were a perfect replacement for my old, worn-out pads, but they aren't easy to install. The trick is to find just the right way to stretch them, then use something (I used the dull side of a pocket knife) got get them into the slots on the headphones. Once they were on, they're perfect.

So I have this 9 year old pair of MDR-V6 headphones that I have rarely used, until recently when I bought a digital piano. The condition of my headphones was like new, until a few days ago when the pleather/vinyl covering on one earned tore. I guess it got a bit brittle after so many years in the closet. I found these authentic Sony ear pads and they are even more comfortable than the originals. Thank you to other customers who posted here explaining that you have to be patient and be methodical when installing. They are TIGHT, but that's good because you don't want them bagging out and falling off. I kind of thought they were super expensive but worth it for the Sony quality. In fact, I checked the Sony parts website and found that, when you include shipping, it's about $1 less going through Amazon. I still would like the warranty info on these, so I sent a message to the seller to provide it. All major manufacturers have a warranty. Very happy with these, and I'm glad I decided not to go the cheap route.

They are difficult to install. Came close to sending back then went to a more aggressive approach by stretching from within foam area and working around to completion with satisfactory results.Have replaced with cheaper products three times over the years with early breakdown of material and wouldn't stay on.Hoping these stay put and last longer.They seem better quality than the other ones prior and are comfortable with good sound.

Con el tiempo los pads originales de los audifonos se desgastan y comienzan a deshacerse. Estos reemplazos quedan perfectamente bien en los audifonos. La única observación es que es un poco complicado colocarlos, aunque no requieren pegamento ni nada adicional para quedar en su lugar.
