AT Pro Adventure Pack

Just bought the AT Pro Adventure Pack from Detector Deals on Amazon.com. What an amazing piece of electonics. The unit itself is completely waterproof...but not the headphones (if you want to dunk your head you need to buy a waterproof headset). That wasnt a problem for me because I have a sand scoop with a handle so puttung my head in the water was un-neccesary. I was able to wade in waist deep water at a sandy shoal where hundreds of boats gather weekly. I spent hours hunting for that treasure. After a while I started to get used to the destinctive sounds and numbers that the detector produces. I was able to tell if it was a piece of iron, a bottle cap, or top can. (I still dug up the top cans because they give off the same sound as some gold items).. but learned to pass on most of the bottle caps with their very distinctive tone... When I came across a coin or piece of silver the unit SANG. I have found hundreds of pull tabs, sinkers, washers, dozens of coins, and silver bangle, a sterling silver ring, and a gold wedding band!! I have only had this thing 3 days and I am completely addicted to treasure hunting. So glad I paid a little extra and chose a quality detector. It's awesome!

Good unit. So far. It should have come with a underwater head phones, since its has salt water capabilities. Does well for bottle caps, cions, lead, bullets, foil, nails etc. no gold yet......

This package deal is just what I've been wanting, my 25 year old one finally croaked. I did a lot of reasearch before making a final choice for my needs. This new one arrived fast and in perfect condition. Still learning all the new bells and whistles and so far so good, its relaxing and the possibility of finding treasure is never ending fun.There are packages on other sites for the same $ and some offer additional things in the kit but its all unecessary fluff so I opted for this company and they are very thorough. This kits got all you need. I also like ordering from Amazon.If you have never metal detected before you might go with a less expensive model and then upgrade but I plan to keep this for ever. The big plus on this one is you can completely submerge it. Waterproof stuff is always a good way to go. Its all USA made and the 5year warranty is great too.

Unit arrived ontime. However, the bushings for the coil attachment to pole were far too big. Only got one half in. The other doesn’t fit. The coil is loose and pivots like a seesaw. The main problem I have is Where the coil connects to the main unit. The connector doesn’t “snap in and seat” at all causing Intermittent functionality. I didn’t want to force parts into place. These parts in the video all put together easily. I think the rubber parts swelled in the unit I bought. I left a message with customer service regarding the issues today. I will update this review regarding the outcome and the timely manner that it was addressed. I’m a little disappointed, but honestly Excited for the replacement. When working I’m pretty sure this machine is top notch considering the pin pointer is absolutely amazing.

Fast and easy assembly. Everything in the AT Pro Adventure Pack was received in great condition. AT Pro works awesome in both soil and sand. Since I live by the beach, I wanted a metal detector that was waterproof. This being waterproof for up to 10 feet fit my needs. Everything that comes in the Adventure pack has been used and serves its purpose. Great product and recommend it to anyone wanting to start off in metal detecting.

I am pleased with the AT Pro Adventure Pack overall. I would like to suggest to Garrett two ideas that would add a little value to the package. The cushions or covers that fit over the ear piece area of the headphones are removable. One of my covers comes off frequently when I remove the headphones. Repeatedly having to stop and put it back on is a little frustrating. I can come up with a remedy for myself. Hopefully the manufacturer will do the same for future headphones.The second thought is that the "AT" means "all terrain". The AT Adventure Pack includes a digging tool for land. I would like to suggest including a plastic sand scoop with the AT Pro Adventure Pack to accomodate beach detecting.Then the AT Adventure Pack would be "all terrain". It would have been nice to have had the scoop in the box, which would save me from having to shop for one. I received my At Pro Adventure Pack and two days later was on a beach in North Carolina and needed the scoop. I hope the feedback from a rookie will help.

Good product by a company that knows metal detecting. Has modes for the novic, and can get pretty advanced. Coins jump from the ground when you use Garrett Metal Detectors.

i got the Minelab Safri at the same time. after going out acouple of times i knew that i wanted to just use the AT Pro. I don't need to go so deep. I don't even need to go to the max depth of the AT Pro. Plus I like the water proof factor of the Pro.
