Another quality product from Pro-tip.
I own an number of products from pro-tip. Perfect for pushing the small .22 patches down the barrel of a .22. Very solid brass construction. I expect it to last a long time.

good cleaning jags
I have a number of Pro shot Jags and like them. They have enough of a point to hold the patch in place, are durable and the slim portion behind the full bore section allows the patch to fold back and avoid getting stuck in the bore. But don't try to get too tight of a patch down the bore - I've bent some that way. My mistake - patches don't need to be that tight to work well - get better solvent, run more patches and be patient. Some of the heavy duty bore cleaners will eventually attack and degrade these tips so its good to replace now and then and have a few spares on hand.

Well made Jag
Like the other Pro-Shot stuff I have this one is machined well and should last a lifetime. More than worth any price discrepancy with other offers out there.

FINALLY A JAG THAT FITS!
Finally a jag that fits! I’ve been using hoppes patches with what I think is a Tipton jag. I had to chuck my old jag in a drill and run it in some sandpaper to make it small enough to work and I still had to cut the patches to roughly half the size to get them to fit down the bore. But this pro shot jag uses the hoppes patches without any trimming and fits beautifully.

Really wipes the bore dry !
It fits pretty tight in my 9mm (that's .355") so I seldom use it, preferring to just run some dry patches through with the eye-tool... however, when you want to really get the bore dry this will do it. Good for an occasional inspection or if copper fowling is a concern.

My Favorite cleaning Jags.
Over the years, I have bought different brands of cleaning jags. These Pro-Shot Jags with the "SPEAR Tip" are always the ones that I reach for -- the Spear Tip makes it easier for me to impale the cleaning Patch onto the jag, & it has a better chance of NOT falling off before I can get it where I want it. BTW -- I also use Pro-Shot PATCHES, & they work well, too. I find that they are a little thinner than Butch's Patches, & sometimes that is what is needed to fit the bore precisely. I like to fit the patch very tightly to the bore, & I'll usually start out using a few Pro-Shot patches. After some of the fouling has been removed, I find that the thicker Butch's patches will then usually go in, providing a VERY tight fit.

Perfect for my revolver...
I used to use the slotted patch puller rod attachments, but these are far superior. They hold the patch well and cover more surface area during cleaning. I will never go back. These are high quality, highly recommended.

Works well
Worked well. Screwed on just fine to the rods contained in my Otis kit. I used the rods to push the jag through with an Otis 3" patch. It got very tight mid-way, but I applied more pressure and it went through just fine. I thought the Otis brushes and pull-through patches had cleaned the barrel, but the jag proved there was still a lot more powder to be removed. I'd say it performed its job sufficiently.

Excellent for 45-70 with a 3" patch, nice and tight enough to really clean well.

Been using these jags for years. Top tip - don't lose one mid week long camp trip. best jags ive used to date, you might need a thread coverter (a few quid) if you have british rods such as parker hale.
