Saved our yorkie's life
I wish we took a before and after picture of our 5# yorkie (going on 16-years-old in 3 months), because her skin and coat is night and day different. We first took her in for labs to get dental work done in November 2020, and found out she had liver disease and pancreatitis. We knew something was wrong for a while, because her skin and coat was bad--red patchy dry skin that flakes off (had to wash her bed every week and vacuum the floor every day), fur was coming off in patches as you pet her, and she was constantly scratching herself to the point where she's bleeding. The holistic vet gave us liquid hepato to bring her numbers down and told us to wait a couple months to get tested again to see if it's safe to do anesthesia for dental. After two months of liquid hepato and being put on a strict freeze dry raw diet of rabbit protein, we had our dog tested again (January 2021), and her numbers had come down, so the vet gave the green light to do anesthesia for dental work. She came out of anesthesia with no issues and recovered quickly. The vet said she should be permanently on liquid hepato. In September 2021 we had her checked again, and her liver is in normal range, and pancreas is almost normal.Fast forward to today, her skin and coat is beautiful--hardly sheds, doesn't itch, and her energy level is as if she is a puppy again. In fact, everyone who meets her has been shocked that she is approaching 16 years old. This change could not have been possible without changing her diet to a species appropriate food (freeze dried raw and low fat) and liquid hepato.I'm uploading a screen shot of her ALT and PrecisionPSL results from the three time we had her lab work done.

Liquid Hepato Is a 'No, Bob'
Recommended by my vet for my cat. I, unfortunately, can't leave a review based on the effectiveness of this product on my cat's health because within two minutes, every time it was administered, he'd vomit. It's an absolutely vile smelling thick goo that has a lot of grit to it. I mean, I wanted to hurl each time I prepared it it smelled so bad. At first I thought the problem might be the combination of a liquid antibiotic I was also prescribed along with this. I eventually stopped the Liquid Hepato until the antibiotic was done. Butupon giving to my cat again, he would first start with a thick drool and then heave it up within two minutes. Overall, I tried 4 times with the same result. It got tossed as it's not returnable, so I'm just out the money. I wish this came in a pill format. That would be far easier both to administer and, hopefully, on the patient's stomach.

Liquid Hepato helps my dog and that outweighs the negatives
Hepato was recommended to me by a vet tech, for my chihuahua (Jake), as a replacement for Denamarin.I had been giving Jake Denamarin for the past couple of years. Initially for elevated liver enzyme levels, possibly secondary to an underlying infection, and then as a support to help maintain healthy levels & liver function.Denamarin had become impossible to find due to supply issues with the manufacturer, so I asked Jake’s vet about a replacement. Which led me to ordering Rx Vitamins for pets Liquid Hepato.I give Jake Denosyl in the A.M., just before his breakfast, and give him Liquid Hepato in the P.M., mixed with his dinner. I found that combination to work better than Denamarin did by itself (based on Jake’s bloodwork).I mix 1 ml of Liquid Hepato with 1 TBSP of pure pumpkin or a 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of "low sodium" tuna and then add that to his dry kibble for dinner. He scarfs it down every time. I started out just giving him 0.5 ml of liquid hepato for the first few days to see how he handled it before increasing the dose to 1 ml.The only things that I find negative about liquid Hepato are…1. The liquid is like a suspension, so there is some settling. Which is to be expected, but no matter how much the bottle is shaken, there is always compacted ground supplement/vitamin stuck to where ever it settled (at the bottom and on the wall of bottle as if the bottle was laying on its side for some time). I have to empty the entire bottle out into a bowl. Then I use a straw cleaner (it’s the only utensil I have that’s skinny enough to fit in bottle) to scrape out as much of the compacted ground medicine/vitamins that I can into the bowl with the rest of it. Then I manually stir it, making sure to dissolve any clumps, before carefully pouring it back into the bottle it came in.2. The dropper it comes with isn’t very good.It doesn’t take long before liquid eventually starts to seep out between the rubber bulb part of the dropper and the plastic/lid part of the dropper that screws onto bottle. I noticed if I take the dropper apart and remove the rubber bulb to clean & dry around the rim and crevices every 10-14 days, it keeps the seeping at bay.3. With every dropper full, some of the suspension sticks to the inner walls of the measuring tube part of the dropper. The inside of the tube will get darker and darker with the color of the hepato. Eventually making it difficult to see where the level of liquid is within the dropper.Cleaning the dropper every 10-14 days as mentioned above helps.4. The last two times I ordered, the dropper came plugged with compacted ground medicine/ vitamins in the tip. I used a needle to scrape it out, but it’s messy and inconvenient to have to do when opening a new bottle. All in all, even with the negatives, I still purchase because it helps my dog and that outweighs the negative.

Medicine Works
Medicine works as it should. However, the dropper shouldn't be placed inside the bottle for shipping as it has always arrived broken. Fingers crossed it's not on the next delivery.

Great Customer Service from the Manufacturer
I received a bottle with a malfunctioning dropper. I contacted the manufacturer and the Fed Ex'ed me a new dropper the same day. Great customer service!

I believe it is doing what it's intended to do
I don't know how it tastes. Only my dog can tell you that. I squirt on top of his food before serving... Just once a day, in a.m. it has helped rebuild following his chemo treatments. He hasn't been so sluggish. It does tend to thicken inside the dropper so I occasionally run dropper under hot water to thin and release the thickened product. Wipe dry before reinserting in bottle.

Unsure of benefit
My dog's vet told me her routine blood test indicated a liver problem, and suggested giving her the Hepato supplement. I received it today, attempted to give her the 1ml dosage, however the included "dropper" did not work no matter how many times I tried. This supplement is a thick orange/brown sludge, very difficult to administer. I'm not recommending it. There is a pill formula, but my dog spits out pills, so this liquid was the only option.

Exact same as I got from my vet
Same as from the vet, but better. The last time I ordered this through my vet office it was really grainy and the dropper kept clogging. I've ordered this a couple times now and it's been better. The second bottle was a little grainy, but still way better.
