P-5-P is the active form of B-6
P-5-P powder dissolved in a liquid is a quick way to get the active form of B6 into your body and saves the liver from having to convert B6 into P-5-P. This product comes in a very small zip baggie inside of the regular white Bulk Supplement zip bag. This is a good idea bc the powder can easily spill and you do not want to waste any! There is little to no discernible flavor or odor but it can stain your skin when moist - washes off easily. It does not come with a scoop or spoon - probably bc 50mg is a very small amount. You would do well to order a small scale - I ordered the Homgeek Digital Milligram Pocket Scale from Amazon ($17.99) It works quite nicely after a little practice weighing very small amounts (think 1/16 tsp or less). I prefer this to taking a pill/capsule that has fillers. I use a thin, long handled 1/8 measure spoon filled about/less 1/4 of capacity and add the powder until the scale says 0.050 which = 50 mg. You could add to juice, water, yogurt etc -

Very strong
B6 is very important to take if you’re deficient, and p5p is the most effective type of b6 to supplement the body. But I must remember to take only a pinch at a time because if I don’t, my stomach gets sick terribly. Do not exceed the recommended dosage and you’ll be ok.Overall, no adverse reactions other than that!

Wrong weight, but consider other facts.
As others have pointed out, there's a shortage of the nutrient. The total weight WITH the little plastic bag is 24 grams. Without the plastic bag, around 22.5g. However, consider this to be more than enough regardless. This is because it will last you VERY long time and will probably expire way before you can use it all. Naturally, you only need about 2.5mg of b6 daily. Even if you take the huge dose of 50mg (which is NOT healthy long term), even 20 grams of this active B6 will last you OVER a year. But take a reasonable amount of about 10mg per day (remember, you're supplementing ONLY if you're deficient of B6 in diet or have gene mutations), it will last you over 5 years but this B6 can be stored up to a year. Just food for a thought! And do NOT overdose, you'll offset the delicate balance you're body is maintaining. Supplements in general are not good, unless you know what you're doing.

9% short
Upon arrival, the pyridoxal-5-phosphate labeled as 10g Lot number 210E1028 exp: 27 Oct, 2019, was removed and measured on a .001-10g balance that has been used consistently for a number of years. The 5 and 10 g calibration weights currently measure on it as 4.999g and 9.997g, respectively. The inner reclosable clear plastic bag, interior measurements about 6.5cm width by 8cm height, with powder inside weighed in at 9.889 g BEFORE opening. There were no obvious leaks or spillage. The powder was removed in three separate batches, each on their own weigh paper as larger quantities don't fit on that particular milligram balance/scale. The total weight of the pyridoxal-5-phosphate powder without clear plastic bag was 9.110 grams.Whether intentional theft, improperly trained staff, lack of regular calibration checks (before and after each batch, and depending on size, partway through, also if it gets moved at all) calibration of balances/scales with known measures (keep correct size calibration weights handy at each weigh station), maintenance and regular checks on all auto-fill equipment, checks on every lot for density, all of these things require not just proper standard operating procedures that are easily accessible (not digital) but proper Quality Assurance (QA)After each batch, the total weight including baggies should be figured out, and then the whole batch weighed on a different balance (probably bigger one) than whatever equipment had been used to dispense it. If the whole batch comes in at or somewhat above the target weight, the whole batch is likely good. Then a QA person can come and do a few individual baggy checks (from beginning, end, and middle of batch), and put a little round sticker signed with their own initials on each baggy they verify. Keeping QA checkers separate from production staff keeps things more accurate. Every procedure should be clearly posted or in a very clearly marked and well-placed manual, so that staff can rotate in and out, temps can do the job if need be, and everything keeps going smoothly. Keep real paper logs, not just digital. The marketing efforts by this company are commendable. Unless it is an outright attempt to short the customer, management needs to develop skilled personnel and reliable procedures using correctly maintained and calibrated equipment in order to match the marketing efforts. Lots of hand weighing gets tedious, music helps. The person doing the weighing shouldn't have to be thinking, just following a set routine and numbers devised by management and with backup checks in place to catch errors - assuming this was error or inexperience.

A little goes a long way!
Effective remedy. The more bio active form of B6 is recommended for most people. Kind of surprising when you measure out the preferred dose and see how small the amount is, helps you realize how much we spend on fillers in the encapsulated versions. Maybe why certain supplements don’t work for us…..the fillers not the actual supplement! Worth trying!

Easy to use, no taste issue, good value
I prefer to take my supplements via liquid rather than pills. This powdered product is a great help for doing that. No funny taste to it. Easy to mix up. Doesn't take much, so it lasts a while. Quite pleased with it.
