Easy knit.
Very simple patterns. Some animals were cute but others needed extensive alteration. Legs on all animals were too short. Love the tree pattern. I knitted almost all the animals in the book for a woodland scene for a school and the children were confused by the sizes - raccoon almost as big as bears. Adults loved it.

Beautiful.
This woman is sincerely talented. I haven't started knitting them yet, so I can't speak to the patterns, only the visual designs. Which are wonderful. So much magic and creativity in this book. It would make a great play set for a child, and I know someone who is doing an advent calendar with them, kind of like Playmobil but with none of the plastic and all of the love. Brilliant.

Great little animals.
I have been knitting these little animals for my friends and family. I am particularly fond of the skunk.

Wonderful book!!
I have all of Sachiyo Ishii‘s books, and they’re all wonderful! I have made a large number of tiny gifts for friends, and they’ve all turned out beautifully.Any chance of a new book featuring fantasy creatures like unicorns and dragons??

WONDERFUL WOODLAND
After discovering Sachiyo Ishii’s mini Knitted farmyard book and being very impressed I then decided I ‘needed’ her mini knitted woodland book too! This book is full off wonderful makes, with full clear and precise instructions making it easy to follow. There are some lovely photographs of the toys which makes her books very appealing, so much so I have since purchased two more of her books!Having the collection of books means there is a good choice of characters, vehicles, scenes and houses, and most can be used on any of her themes.Delighted with my purchases and would highly recommend.

Great value book for basic shaped cute little critters.Finishing off will take a bit of practice but well worth the effort.
I also purchased the Mini Knitted Safari and my reviews are nearly the same for each book.Make sure you read the instructions carefully on finishing off. Lovely book with lots of different patterns.Easy basic patterns to knit. If you are a novice knitter- good patterns to start with but the sewing up and finishing off will take a bit of practice - you shape animal with the stuffing as you go and use various stitches to shape/pull limbs/heads into place. This is a good buy if you want quick basic tiny animals.Make sure your tension is correct or you may get a slightly odd looking animal. If you are looking for more realistic looking limbs and body forms then this isn't the book for you.But I love this book! With a bit of patience in the making up stage you will end up with some very cute animals. Very good value for money.

Great book for both novices and experts
Brilliant book, great for both novices and experienced knitters, comes complete with details on what you would need to make them and how to put them together. I'm making lots of these to raise money for an Assistance Dog for my daughter and will be selling them at the locak Christmas Fair, all being well we're not in lockdown again. They look fab.

Delightful book
Delightful book and the second in the series. Patterns easy to follow and use DK yarn and not fancy expensive yarn which is a bonus. Only reason I have given it 4 stars is because some of the animals do look a bit strange. Definitely going to knit the toadstool house and the mini gnomes.

A well produced and helpful book.
I was a little disappointed at first with this book as the animals are not quite what I expected but I am getting to like them much more. They lack the crisp detail I had hoped for but are charming in their simple but imaginative naivety. The best thing about the book is the use of brilliant illustrations to help with construction and decoration - most appreciated as many pattens leave one struggling with putting together the item. I am enjoying working with these creatures though not sure how to use them - they are tiny - and will buy her other book about the safari.
