Great Elixir replacement
These are my new favorite strings. I had been using elixirs for a number of years until they priced themselves out of my business. These strings are brighter than the elixirs and for recording they articulate very well and when strumming they don't sound muddy. The have a smooth finish, not like a flat wound but a tighter winding that is easy on the fingers.

My favorite acoustic strings. My primary guitars have been acoustic for close to thirty years now. Tried many strings. I like coated elixers a lot ($$), but for consistency, tone, and practicality, these are my favorites. I change strings more than most. New string day is always a good day with these.

Sound quality suffers after break-in
On my guitar, these strings sounded AMAZING for the first couple days (4-5 hours of playing time), but then lost the sparkle and harmonics after that. String them up just before a performance and they likely won't disappoint. Wish they would've held out longer.

Amazing bass with extra light strings...
Amazing volume and tone. The slightly larger string 6 gives booming bass that you loose in extra light strings. They make a big difference on higher end guitars with better tone woods. No difference on low end guitars. I use these on all my Martin guitars!

Oof, these do not sound good. So much unwanted noise just from left hand changing chord positions.

Great Strings
Great sound, I've been playing the hell out of these. I've tuned them regular, open G, EEEEBE, Drop D, and love the sound on my Ovation. I couldn't be happier with the quality. Had them on for over a month now and still they sound bright and perfect harmonics. Highly recommend.
