The stand is very sturdy and I don’t have to worry about the stand falling over during a video. Helps you to make sure you always have the right lighting . It gets very, very bright but is dimmable and easily adjustable. The tripod can telescope up or down for different heights. Nice quality for the price! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bright, versatile, and not just for cat photo shoots! *by A***K on May 9, 2019* I've quite enjoyed this little light ring. I've been using it to record marco polo videos for my family and if I wasn't too embarrassed by them, I would totally upload one to this review. I did also use the light to record a video for an amazon review of body/hem tape so that I could have my hands free and have a good light for the video. It worked really well. I prefer the middle color (not blue and not yellow), I think it's much more natural looking for my videos, but I can see why it would be good to have the option for all three colors, along with the ability to turn up or down the intensity. I'm quite happy to have it in my office where I don't get much natural light. With the ball head, the light is so versatile, I've even used it to light up my work table when I'm working on small beaded crafts. I think the use of this light will go far beyond just lighting up my cat's photo shoots (see review photos), and I look forward to finding new ways to put this product to use.Photos:1) The instructions - easy to ready and made assembling easy2) Extended to its tallest height - just about 5'. You can see the photo attachment in the middle - it's got red sides where it grips the phone.3) Reduced down to its shortest height (maybe 18"? I'm not positive). I don't think you can add the phone attachment at its shortest height because the pipe's diameter is too big. This can be solved by pulling the last 'pipe' (closest to the ring) up enough to stick the holder on. Clearly, I should have taken a photo of this to understand it better, but alas, I didn't think of it during the light ring's photo shoot. Haha!4) Picture of the 'turn-to-lock/unlock' guide on the stand (with kitty photobomb).5, 6, & 7) The ring at its brightest setting for each of the three light colors.8, 9, & 10) The ring at its lowest brightness setting for each of the three light colors.11, 12, & 13) I believe my kitty is enjoying her photo shoot under the brightest light (although it could be medium..).
