Highly recommended
I wanted to paint my kitchen cabinets but was very hesitant because I didn’t know what paint would work the best. After A LOT of research I bought this paint. Still feeling unsure about how it would turn out I tried it on an end table that was very similar to the wood and color of my cabinets. It turned out so beautiful that I went ahead and did my bathroom vanity. I wanted to be totally confident before I committed to the kitchen 😊. This paint delivered great results. I brushed the base and the drawers and used a sprayer on the doors. I bought an inexpensive sprayer from Harbor Freight to do the kitchen cabinets and wanted to test it on the bathroom cabinets first. This paint is VERY thick. Almost the consistency of pudding and it drys fast. When using it in the sprayer you need to water it down. I did use the General Finishes High Performance Satin top coat to seal it. I absolutely love the results and have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful it turned out. You do need to clean the cabinets really good and lightly sand them so the paint adheres well. Do not skip this step. They need to be clean. Now on to the kitchen cabinets!!

It's Color depends on the amount and type of light exposure
Main point: It looks black in low levels of light and milky/dark chocolate brown in higher levels of light. If you are even remotely/slightly color blind like in anyway, it will only look black to you. My father is color blind with reds and greens and could not see any brown hues. My opinion broken down:Natural Light:- High Levels: Chocolate Brown- Low Levels: Mainly black with slight chocolate brown hue, dependent upon your vision strengthFluorescent Light:- High Levels: Chocolate Brown- Low Levels: BlackLow Natural & Low Fluorescent light together: Chocolate BrownI found it on a kitchen remodel blog on accident and absolutely fell in love with the color type. I was skeptical at first so I bought a pint to paint one bathroom to see how it looked and it came out perfect. It came out so great that I did my whole house 4 bathrooms and a full kitchen. I also used General Finishes High Performance Satin sealer for my final coat so I didn't have too much of a gloss/glare. Overall, I'm happy with both the paint and sealer.Single Con: The only con that everyone needs to be aware of is this paint is thick! Make sure to spread evenly or you will have dripping/thick paint lines. My main problem I had was making sure to smooth over where my last stroke left off. Just beware of this before the paint dries, otherwise you'll be re-sanding and wasting paint.

Worth buy
Item purchased milk paint chocolate brown. One of best water paints that i have used. I did research and used their stains before. Tons of videos that will teach any newbe are available on their site and you tube.My application involved spraying with a not expensive sprayer. Cabinets doors came out looking like done by a pro. I am handy but nothing major. Use jugment and delute product according to surrounding conditions. I have sprayed in garage in Arizona heat.Only problem was shipping. Not sure who to blame for that. Purchased product becaused it was promised by certain date. Had project that i needed done by certain date. Product was shipped promptly however amazon kept changing delivery. It arrived couple days later than advertised

A surprising change from chalk paint without the painstaking wax applications!!
I've been faithful to chalk paint for years and decided to try milk paint for my son's kitchen cabinets. I admit watching the General Finishes tutorials about the paint, but most importantly, the General Finishes poly sealer, which I bought and used according to the directions on the YouTube videos. We made the cabinet doors using a mid-grade plywood and trim to add character. We added the trim to the existing drawers to match the cabinet doors. We chose Dark Chocolate as the color. True to it's word, no primer needed...it went on smoothly and a little goes a long way. I did three coats of paint and of the poly sealer on the door/drawer facings simply because they were kitchen cabinets and two coats of paint/sealer for the inside of the cabinets. We were beyond thrilled with the way it turned out. Now....on to my daughter's kitchen!!

Good for refinishing kitchen Cabinets
Purchased this to redo some honey oak cabinets in a cabin of knotty pine. It took me two years to get to the point of harmonizing the kitchen of the cabin in MI that was thrown together to be a year round residence. This paint is amazing right out of the can. I put two coats on after cleaning it with the Savogran Liquid TSP Cleaner. (That stuff is amazing too--it just eats off any dirt and residue) My aim and goal was to match the dark knots of the knotty pine. It looks really good. This paint is very easy to work with and cleans up well. The cabin I was working with was empty at the time and that is always a bonus. Living under renovation and construction must be a nightmare, but the work went quickly. No obnoxious smell. I finished the two coats with a flat Top Coat by the same brand. The product arrived quickly and promptly via UPS. Very pleased with the results and the shipping, the shipper and the General Finish Paint.

Amazing
This is my first time trying milk paint and I'm amazed. It's so expensive but it truely is a premium product. I've used other General Finishes products and will come back for more milk paint when the project demands it. Application is easy. I was even able to spray it with my.3 stage turbine HVLP. The ultra flat finish is silky smooth when dry.
