Solid little monitor, but the touch controls take a little getting used to.
Great little screen as long as you know what you are getting. Don't expect a super high quality visual. It's just a little guy. I use mine as a streaming monitor to "preview" my video output when making videos or stream youtube in the background while I work. The touch screen is a little wonky, but once you get used to it it's ok. If you are using it with multiple monitors make sure the window you want to interact with is selected. The touch screen imparts interaction with the currently selected window. So let's say we have two monitors, say a nice 1080p or 4k as your primary, we'll call "A", and this little guy as a secondary we'll call "B". If window is selected on "A" and I try to utilize the touch screen on "B" the window on "A" will receive the motion instructions. You might be able to use this as a really fancy track pad... I haven't tried it though. All in a for the price it's a *great* little monitor.

Beautiful IPS Panel. Bright and Crisp/.
Awesome 7" IPS panel with perfect fit included case. I mounted this unit is one of my custom builds for a client. It is running AIDA64 to give real time Stats while gaming. A good value but most importantly, The IPS panel is a stunner. Clear and bright. Perfect for the P.C. enthusiast who wants real time stats of the P.C. in a self contained unit.

Doesn't work not worth the hassle
I bought this display for use with a raspberry pi 4, which based on the reviews seemed like a good fit. Received the product today, and it only came with a single USB cable, single HDMI cable, and the display. No instructions, documentation, or anything else. Ok, cool I mean it is a simple touchscreen, how much documentation is needed? Well, after connecting it, it didn't power on. Connected both by USB to the pi4, and to it's own USB power supply. 750ma to start. Then moved it to a 2a fast charger, in case it needed more power. Backlight came on, then in under 5 seconds went off. Ok, maybe 2amps is too small. Lets see what the fast charger multi-port unit with 16amps max power supply can do. Backlight on, then off, OSD and everything else didn't work.Ultimately I might have gotten a lemon, but buyer beware, this is an unbranded, undocumented Chinese import, that is an off brand. I typically don't leave 1 star reviews, and have no issue with devices like this, but for the price, definitely not worth the hassle. The official Pi screen isn't much more and it works like a dream, so I would go with that in the future.

OK display - will not work with touchscreen with Jetson Nano completely.
If you read the description, it does work with Jetson Nano AS AS DISPLAY. With Raspberry Pi, it has TOUCHSCREEN capability with the appropriate drivers.I can’t tell the limitations with Windows as I’m running Ubuntu 18.04But the Jetson Nano has some sporadic support - I can’t get the virtual keyboard to show anything other than alphabetical characters UPON COLD BOOT - my password had to be changed to remove the numbers. I did notice on random login, I can see the numbers and special characters. But I cannot keep it long enough to use the keys.So I successfully log in via touch screen after COLD BOOT. When the screen lock activates - I get a new login screen that is different than COLD BOOT. This login screen does NOT bring up the virtual keyboard. I am effectively locked out until I pull the power cord and shut it down.My take - as of 3/3/2021, touchscreen support under Ubuntu 18.04 on Jetson Nano is not usable - it is too incomplete for my application (mobile use in a car).Unless someone can tell me what I’m doing wrong, I’m going to install a mobile desk in my car with this Waveshare 7" LCD as a display device ONLY and a conventional USB mouse/keyboard to make it usable.

Lousy Product
Product failed after a year of very little use. Does not display although touch and display are enumerated by Raspbian, Windows 10, and Linux Mint 20.1. Emailed Waveshare and received generic response. Spend the extra for a genuine Pi monitor.

Some functions work
I like the idea of the screen just what I was looking for to upgrade from the old school portable dvd players. But some buttons work for example the volume buttons don't work on mine, plus I thought this was also a rechargeable screen but no it has to have power outlet connected at all times. Tried contacting the shipper or support so I can get a refund or replacement but amazon options don't let me.
