Fit
Fit the tight 4 inch opening. Some filters did not fit.opening that is slightly less than 4 inches

It Fits & Not Too Tight
So far, the filter appears to be made properly for a MERV-13 standard - number of folds and quality of material.The good news is the filter is not exactly 20x20x4. You can have a tough time getting a filter in and out of the furnace filter box, if it is exactly that size. You need some clearance to provide you enough slippage to fit properly within the furnace box and still be able to retrieve it without forcing it. The furnace manufacturer has allowed a bit of a lip inside the box to accommodate and cover a small amount of slippage. The size is correct for the standard, yet the actual cut of the filter is just a little smaller to make the correct fit.

Filter folds were all distorted
I wanted a MERV 13 because of my allergies. I bought 2. Both filters appear damaged, or poorly made. My old filters folds have all been evenly distributed. In these some of the folds were right up against each other, some wide spaced, not at all evenly distributed. No pattern to it, so I know it's random and serves no logical purpose. I've never seen any filters like that. I cannot move them to fix the spacing. It seems they are glued in that way. I think this will prevent proper filtration and require more frequent change. I'm upset that now I have to return them. I cannot find Merv 13 in stores.

Heat pump filters
Recently had a new heatpump installed and was having trouble locally finding the right size. Amazon to the rescue. Found many to choose from and I'm very pleased with the size I ordered. It arrived in two days and in perfect condition. I will order more in the future.
