Fantastic
I have used this several times since it arrived about a month ago. It is so much fun to create and turns out beautiful to serve. People are impressed how pretty appetizers look, let alone taste. I am at the point I don't need recipes I just let my imagination go wild!

Not good
I should have been skeptical when I couldn't find any reviews that weren't paid bloggers or any recipes for this product. I got it Saturday and spent Sunday and Monday trying different things. There's a reason that so few people post pics of their creations using this. Buyer beware, it's a waste of money.

Not as fun or appetizing as it should be
Great idea, but could be better.A clear and appetizing recipe book would have made all the difference for this device - I'd probably have overlooked a few other things if there was something super-exciting or delicious I was making. The recipes are unclear and more like a list of ingredients than actual recipes. Typos and mistakes galore; it was slapped together thoughtlessly. The gadget itself could have used a bit more thought too, like a cover that would allow you to transport the item, then plate it. Why did they include the knife? It's a waste of plastic, and kind of an insult. If you already know what you want to make with this, give it a try, but otherwise, it's not really worth you money or time.

Makes lovely appetizers, but it is annoying to cut everything to size
Okay--if you use this as directed you will get decent results, with one caveat: don't use the plastic knife it came with--use a decent, sharp knife, preferable a bread knife, for cutting the appetizers apart. Why only three stars? Well I don't find this that convenient when you have to cut all the ingredients into strips before you can even use it! Also the manufacturer recommends going easy on the wet ingredients. So you can end up with some very attractive, but very dry little sandwiches. For these reasons, I don't see myself using this on a regular basis, though I might get it out for a baby shower or some such event.

I like this gadget because it can help make little appetizers ...
I like this gadget because it can help make little appetizers and hors d'oeuvres, little sandwiches, or whatever you can imagine. I received a gift card and wanted to purchase something for me, hence this device I saw on a morning show was my choice. My first attempt was whole wheat bread, chicken salad, and fruit. It turned out a little on the soggy side, but still acceptable. There is a balance between the ingredients that only the user can work out. Oh! and I also forgot to put in the bottom insert, so it made it harder to cut and retrieve the the cut blocks. After one experience of that, it will not happen again. I recommend this for people can enjoy experimenting with food. The last gadget of this type I probably bought 20 years ago, so I am discriminating, but I like the way this thing cuts in even pieces for appetizers or whatever. I only recommend for people who like to experiment, because the recipe booklet is useless to me.

Great for desserts
Layered pound cake or angel food cake desserts are easy and successful. A jam or compote works better than sliced or whole fruit. Basically, if it won't stand up on it's own anyway, then it won't stand up as a smaller, sliced version. Toothpicks and mini skewers are life savers if you want to cut each slice in half for a small. Brownies that have been a bit smashed together then brushed with chambord, topped with extra thick cheesecake or white chocolate pudding(the pie recipe with a little less milk) then raspberries is yummy and seems to hold up well if it's given enough time to really set up. Carefully use another, thinner knife dipped in water, for nice slices. I have yet to try it with savory items that need to be cooked after being stacked and sliced. Some "how to" videos with recipes would be fabulous.

This adorable little device is just a must have for all ...
This adorable little device is just a must have for all ages in the kitchen. What a great way to interest children in foods they would not ordinarily consider eating. So many children are eating little more than fast foods. It is time to break that bad habit and learn to feed them healthy foods. If they make it they will at least try it and that is a start. This is very well made and it appears extremely safe for use by little hands. The customer service is above and beyond. I am always so impressed to receive a product on or before the promised date. Thank you
