Billy And Blaze

I love these Billy and Blaze books series. Highly recommend. All books in this series are amazing for little kids growing in their ability to read. There’s a sweet storyline in all their books. I truly enjoy reading them to my child and they reading it to me.

There is a sweet four-year old boy who likes to visit me at work and I purchased this as a gift for him. His mother tells me they can't get enough of the sweet story and beautiful pencil drawings and they read the book often together. When I saw her the other day, she told me they are now looking into purchasing the rest of the series. I'd consider that a gift well given and I highly recommend the Billy and Blaze books to anyone looking to brighten up a youngster's day.

I grew up with the Billy and Blaze books and decided to buy my nephew the first in the series for his fourth birthday. He loved it so much that after the first read my BIL immediately ordered him the rest of the series.

My four-year-old son adores this book. We have read it over and over again (what little boy doesn't want his own horse and dog.) The prose is clear and simple but not silly. The pictures are wonderful and invite close inspection and study. One warning: there is a good chance that your little one is going to query when they are going to receive a horse on the front lawn for their birthday. Especially helpful for engaging otherwise reluctant readers.

Billy is a young boy who is horse crazy, and he took every chance to ride any horse that he could. On his birthday he received a pony. It's a great story. Read it with a young person that you know that loves horses.

My newly seven year old has really enjoyed this book as she becomes a better reader. She can read it almost independently.

As a child reading horse stories, C.W. Anderson was one of my favorite authors. The drawings brought back wonderful memories, and the story is still sweet.

A great storybook with wonderful black and white horse drawings of stunning detail. Any child who loves horses would love this series. It grows with your reading ability as the series goes on in adventure.

Einfaches englisch, wunderbare Geschichte, sehr schöne Bilder. Hab es im Englischunterricht vorgelesen (2.Klasse), kam sehr gut an. Kann ich empfehlen.

My 3-year old daughter and 5-year old son love this book even if it's written such a long time ago! It has very nice drawings in every page (I think it's pencil drawing - color black). Horses and woods are beautiful. From people, you can tell it's written in 1930s, and I wish the main character was a girl, but really, I can't complain. A simple but loving story. I'm buying the rest of the series for my kids!
