FIRST AND FOREMOST THIS IS NOT A TOY (DO NOT BUY THIS FOR A CHILD) I bought the MIDDLE-EARTHTM Treasure Chest for my partner for Christmas 2013. The chest itself is quite large and heavy, the elven designs are good and the external woodwork is quite detailed and of fair quality. OK now for the down side, the internal woodwork is MDF or something like it and the internal felt is poorly stuck on in parts. The top opening glass lid does not have any supports i.e. chain or bar to prevent it from popping the small delicate hinges. The RHS large door does not have a magnetic closer so if the chest is moved or on a slight incline forward the door will open on its own accord. I spent two weeks at the end of November buying jewellery box chain and magnetic closers and carefully fitting them myself. My partner is a serious collector of Tolkien / LOTR items and she's over the moon with it so I'm happy overall for her. But I would not give her this without modifying it due to safety reasons. One last thing if you do purchase this be very care full of the metal elven pattern around the top some of it has loosened and impaled my fingers resulting in needle punctures requiring plasters/band aids, again I have stuck them back myself. The picture of the chest has an ornate small box inside the centre compartment, please be aware this does not come with the chest. My rating 6 out of 10 because of the poor internal workmanship and safety issues.

Très belle pièce, c'est un coffret magnifique, nettement plus grand que ce que l'on peut imaginer sauf que sur le descriptif du produit, a aucun moment il n'est précisé qu'il est vendu vide et qu'en réalité ce n'est ni plus ni moins qu'une boîte à bijoux magnifique.
