These colorful beads expand in water and are perfect for making an unusual display of cut flowers or bamboo. I have bought a variety of colors and always hydrate them with a mix of water and plant food - this way the flowers are fed and kept hydrated.The only downside is that if you have pets, you should keep them away from these. If they eat them by mistake, the little balls expand in their stomach and could harm them.

I just needed a few water beads to decorate my mini plant pot. It was perfect for my purpose.

I put these in a small plastic sandwich bag in my 150 cigar humidor. hydrate about a between 1/8 and 1/4 teaspoon, then put them in the bag. Use a zip lock bag and fold the top down to hold the bag open. Put the package in the bottom of the humidor. The first batch maintained perfect humidity for more than 3 months and were still about 30% hydrated when I recharged them. This is the best no hassle humidifier I have ever used. I'm surprised the cigar stores haven't picked up on it yet.

Does what it says and they mean it when they say "don't put them down the drain." They expand in the pipes and create the type of thing you won't wish for otherwise.
