I needed the product because someone tried to get into the house through an unlocked door. We can't see or hear the door in question when your in the living room, and it became impractical to keep locking and unlocking it.It alerts us to when someone opens the door and acts as a deterrent for any would be wanderers.Downside is that you can't (or I haven't worked out how) have each sensor set off a different sound (So we don't know which one has triggered the sound) as we have one on the front and back door, but it does the job.

I’ve found t really hard to get the placement right for the sensors on the doors and windows. They only work a certain way round and therefore you need to get extra pads for attachment. Even then I’m not sure it will work every time. I’ve bought other ones which were single unit and base and they worked better.
