Native Impression Round Toilet Seat w/Brushed Nickel Hinges, Natural Bamboo

I waited a while to review this because I wanted to see how they stood up. We've gotten other brands through Lowe's, Home Depot, and Bed Bath and Beyond. They've either cracked, come loose, or the wood was not smooth and kept splintering. These are great quality toilet seats. The wood is smooth, they fit well and haven't come loose, they're very sturdy, and very nice looking. I would definitely purchase again and recommend buying these over other brands.

So the goal was to replace my 15 year old molded wood seat. Should be easy enough, yes? Well no. I read loads of reviews and most of them swing wildly from superb to garbage. OK, makes for a rather difficult decision. Early on I had marked this one as a possibility and ultimately when I couldn't wait or research any longer I went with it.When reading the reviews three items were of concern:1. The hole is tooo small. Well luckily there were measurements online and surprise, the hole is actually slightly larger than the current round seat. No problem here.2. The seat is flat. Yes it is. The old seat was "contoured" and in my experience on those days when you needed an escape from the outside world and wanted to retreat to the commode for some quiet reading, after a short time my legs would numb a bit. I guess it was good as it kept me from monopolizing the commode too long. I find the flat seat to be much more comfortable and not numbing at all.3. The hinges and quality are horrible. After a months use I'd say they are fine. There are comments about hinges breaking. I'm sure quality can vary from seat to seat and overall robustness may be affected by the installer but so far I don't foresee any issues. If you are going to pull a Doc Brown and stand on it to hang a clock on the wall it might not stand up but, for it's intended use I'm confident.Overall, people are different and have different wants and needs so when it comes to picking a seat you may just need to take a leap of faith and try one firsthand to see if it suits. Boxers or briefs comes to mind lol. If the quality comes back to bite me I'll update my review. For now I will say that I'd gladly buy it again.

This was a lot lighter in color than expected, but still looks good. Quality is very good. I would recommend this item.

It is very easy to install and looks great! I never did like the plastic seats and always wondered if the chemicals used in the plastic would leach into my skin. Wood gives me peace of mind.

The fit for MY toilet was exact and replaced a broken seat. In my opinion, the hinges on most toilet seats are the weak point to which they can wear down and break (at least that’s what happen to me). I tried getting replacement hinges but they didn’t sit the toilet seat properly. And as far as toilet seats go, it’s been comfy to sit on. Lol. I hope it lasts for years to come just like my other broken one did! Love the bamboo too!

This toilet seat looks nice, is comfortable to sit on, and was easy to install. I highly recommend it.

Seat opening is HUUGE!!! I measured it against my old bamboo seat and it was at least 1 inch larger in diameter. You can feel it when you’re sitting on it that it doesn’t feel like a normal seat. Kind of feels like you’re about to fall in and it’s uncomfortable. Back to the drawing board with this design.

The hinges have plastic on the inside and will break over time. Company will honor warranty for 1 and only 1 failure over 3 years. Quality control sux as i've had 2 out of 3 units fail so far in 6 mths. The problem is whomever is installing the hinge to the seat is installing 1 hinge crooked causing pressure on the hinge and causing the failure over time. When you get this unit make sure both hinges are straight or return it and get another one.
