Excellent Camera Backpack and Service from f-stop
I have been searching for a camera backpack for many years. They always seem to have a fatal flaw (at least for me), usually they poorly handle a tripod and/or they have no space to put gear other than cameras and lenses. I day hike and travel so I want a camera backpack to travel with me on planes, cars, and walking around town or the woods. It needs a secure area for camera gear and space for jackets, computers, lunch, etc. The f-stop Lotus is as close as I have found to do all these things well and is not too big for travel and walking around. It is not perfect, but it is pretty close for my needs. In addition, I have to give f-stop a big shout out for service. The Lotus Bundle includes the pack, a ICU, a rain cover and 2 Gatekeeper straps. Mine arrived without the Gatekeeper straps. I contacted them late afternoon on a Friday (the day the pack arrived) through Amazon and let them know. I had a reply from f-stop that day. They shipped the straps the next work day, and I had them on my pack by Friday. Good job f-stop.

Extremely Versatile
I got this bag to take with me on a week camping trip to Monterey Bay and then Yosemite V this winter. I'd debated just using my protactic 350 awii but really wanted a little more space for extra layers and food. I got A Lot more space and only a little larger volume. I switched out the icu for a shallow medium since I'm primarily shooting mirrorless and have smaller lenses. In the icu alone I had a pani g9, Canon ae-1, olympus pro 12-40 mounted, pani pro 35-100, Canon 50 1.8, lots of film, a handful of batteries, film, filters, cables, and charger, plus extra cover for the g9.Still had room for a power pack, windows tablet, coat, winter gear, tripod, sketchbook, pencase, snacks, water blader, and my lunch for the day. I could have fit more small items but didn't need to. And it still fit under the seat of the airplane (stuck out a bit)The icu worked great in a dry bag on a kyak in the bay, and everything held up great with the little bouldering I did in Yosemite. It was comfortable with about 30lbs of weight but it would be better with wider/thicker straps. My only real annoyances were having to take the bag fully off to get to my camera gear, I would scrafice a side pocket for a second icu access point for sure. There really isn't a good place to put a computer /12in tablet that's padded without bringing a sleave. It fit between the closed icu lid and the back panel of the backpack but that only worked when I wasn't getting into it much at the airport. I like the zippered sleeve in the back panel of the protactic bags and think that would work great here too for smaller computers like mine.Overall it was a great buy and I'll use it alot in the future. Would probably be my daily if it had more access points on the sides. Even with all the times it got tossed onto a rock or set on the dirt or puddles it brushed off and looks new.

Incredibly adaptable
I love the versatility of this bag and the comfort of the internal frame. I am confident that the construction will hold up to the abuse that I give my bags, in town and on the trail. The bag was shipped by F-Stop and not another vendor, the care in packaging and personal touches were very much appreciated.
