The Evangelical's Guide to Spiritual Warfare: Scriptural Insights and Practical Instruction on Facing the Enemy

So much brilliant insight. I have always been looking for a book like this and I'm so grateful I found it!!

I've always wondered about how the spiritual world works and how we are supposed to engage with it. I grew up in a secessionist, near-cult legalism and all of it was not allowed. Once I broke free of that, I began dealing with the spiritual things and no one around me could explain it. This book helped me to understand the spiritual from the evangelical standpoint where I landed when I escaped.Enter Charles Kraft. I have now ready 7 of his books, each one reveals through Scripture and through experience on the field how the spiritual laws and rules work. Read this alongside of "Unintended Casualties of War" and you'll have a good starting point - now I understand how to break curses in the name of Jesus and how to deal with demons, and I am no longer afraid.

It is good guide for Evangelicals to understand the spiritual warfare aspect. For the most part, the guide provides biblical information and who to put it into practice regarding spiritual warfare. However, not all Christians are "called" to this kind of prayer warfare. So the book was very informative and worth reading but I am not gifted/anointed to do spiritual warefare.

I originally purchased this book at retail store, but left in behind today when paying for parking while out of town. Since I had only read 1/3 of it and had some really good highlights, I considered going back to look for it. I pray now that God sends it into the hands of the right person. I just placed my order for a new hard copy and it will arrive in 2 days. Since I wanted to start back reading now and have it accessible for later, I also ordered the electronic copy.

The Evangelical's Guide to Spiritual Warfare had some very sound, Biblical, Scriptural advice on "spiritual warfare". It has helped me to be less excessive in helping others in the area of deliverance. I often enjoyed the "excess" associated with Pentecostal Charismatic type worship and had not really realized how that could be a detriment if the one that needed healing did not share that personal view. I personally do not take credit for any miracles or healings that God has performed in my presence. I'm just happy to be one praying with faith for such a thing to be provided.

Very interesting approach where the spiritual garbage must be dealt before taking care of demons. A must read although some of Kraft’s thinking might not align with some Christian denominations...

This gives a great overview of the topic of spiritual warfare. His book "Defeating Dark Angels" is much more detailed. Both are highly recommended.

I enjoyed this book, it has broadened my knowledge.
