WOW! 100 times better than 15 year old original part
WOW! 15 year old 4Runner, tired of the hood sacking me in the head.So so so easy to install and what a difference. Like new, but with some umph!PROS:1) Value - $20 or less, with great reviews2) Easy to install, took 10-15 minutes. Unscrew the original rusted old bots, top and bottom. Screw in the new bolts/heads, tops and bottom. Push on the new lift support, top and bottom.3) Holy cow! 100x better with some strength! Like 10,000 small Toyota gnomes inhabit these small things.CONS:1) Instructions... Not worth reading, see install info below or watch YouTube2) Not OEM. Waaa waaa. But saved like $30-403) No lottery ticket included. That would be nice...What a quick, great, value upgrade and my head and cat like reflexes of moving from a 60 lbs hood can now relax.Would buy 5 more times!

Work great on my 4runner
I bought these to replace the factory hood struts on my 2005 4Runner that had lost their ability to hold up my hood. These were easy to install and so far, have worked great. Definitely recommend.

Works great and upgraded hardware
Seems better than the original struts. The original hardware had a 12mm bolt and this set included 13mm bolt. This may not make a big difference but something to note. Included all new hardware and installed in about 5 minutes once I had a hood prop (or friend) to hold the hood securely and safely. Definitely would recommend to anyone who owns a 4th gen 4Runner and wants to keep it on the road.

Perfect fit!
PROS: Perfect fit for 2004 4Runner, took only 15 minutes to install, came with all the necessary hardware, works great.CONS: Took 10 days to arrive even with Amazon Prime

Great fit, easy to install on GX470
Super easy install and very strong. One strut was strong enough to hold the hood up, almost decided not to install the other side but did so anyway. Very happy with the results.

Fairly easy install, and I’m not the brightest bulb. I have a 2003 Toyota 4Runner. They seem quite sturdy. Fingers crossed, they last me the next many many years.

Stronger than the Toyota's my brother ordered at the dealer.
Perfect fitment to my 05 4Runner.Stronger lift than my brother's truck and he went to the Toyota dealer for his his struts. Same trucks, same hoods. Mine lifts quicker and holds up better in cold weather parked side by side. Sightly heavier rating than stock. Which is perfect as I have the intention of adding auxiliary lights and therefore more weight to my hood. A good upgrade. Stop getting hit in the head by your good. But what install these prop struts. 🤘
