Love these little lights so much we bought THREE of them!
This little solar lantern is great! I bought one for my son for Christmas, and a few weeks later he and my husband went on a camping trip with their Boy Scout troop. My hubby came home from that trip and said, "You've gotta get me one of those inflatable lights - it was awesome!" So now they each have one, and they use them regularly. There's a strap on the top of the lantern that you can use to hang it up wherever you need light, and my guys often use a carabiner to hang them from the loop at the top of their tents. It puts out a lot more light than you would expect from something so small - one lantern alone illuminates our little 3-person tents. The lantern is lightweight and collapses down to a little disc when you're not using it, which makes this light a great option for backpacking trips. The solar panel is on the bottom of the lantern, so my guys hang them from their backpacks to charge while they're hiking and then they're ready to go when the sun goes down.I bought a third Luci light for my father-in-law, and he uses it when he goes RV camping. We've also used these lanterns at home when our power went out after a winter storm. They didn't do anything to keep us warm, but at least we had light! =) All around, this little Luci Lux solar lantern is a great product. They've been good to have on hand in multiple situations, and I'm very happy with our purchases.

Very pleasant warm yellowish light
MPOWERD Luci Lux: Solar Inflatable LanternI have two versions of Luci light. One version had the clear plastic shell which illuminates with white light. This one (matted shell) illuminates with yellowish warm light. I like the warm yellowish light. I enjoy it so much that I bought 4 more. The lamp itself, when it is fully charge, at the lowest power setting, it can easily last 8 hours over night while camping. It is light and compact, so perfect for camping/backpacking trips. After two years of usage, it is performing wonderfully.

Bought two, one has a battery issue
I saw this lamp at my friend’s and fell in love with it : the warm white and solar recharging !!I got two of these but one of them seems to have an issue with charging and even after days in the full sun it won’t go further than 2 bars out of 3, I am disappointed as this is a fairly expensive little lamp!

LOVEd this little Luci Lux! Now I only like it. See update below...
I'm in love with this little lamp!! What an ingenious idea! I put it in my window For a few hours where the solar panel in the bottom could charge, and the light it gives off is wonderful, soft and inviting. I hate harsh lighting, can't stand the super white LEDs and fluorescent light makes me want to run screaming from the room. So this light is perfect in my book. The look of an incandescent, but it's solar! What could be better?! I love the low setting, but the high setting is nice for tasks. I can read by the high setting (although most of my reading is on my Kindle Paperwhite, which I also love, as it has its own light) but if you had to do any heavy duty reading or for a long period of time, you may want two of these little gems.I personally feel the Luci Lux is well worth the extra 5 bucks, as the plastic "shade" is frosted, which disperses the light more softly, and also kinda blurs the view to the inner mechanics of the fixture, which makes it seem more like a candle. I believe the LEDs themselves are a softer color in the Lux, as opposed to the original. But this is a personal preference. If you like or need super bright light, the cheaper version may be fine for you. I'm going to try the Auta next. The Luci does NOT have to be inflated to charge, but it can be. I've done it both ways. I was able to inflate it almost all the way in just one breath! A little half breath more filled it all the way, and viola! The button to turn it on is on the bottom. First click is low, next is high, third is flashing (good for emergencies) and the next is "off".There are two, flat straps for hanging it from whatever you want; a carribiner off a backpack, a string or hook, etc. Yes, these are, I'm sure, not indestructible, as some have mentioned. So don't abuse them! It would be kinda like buying a shirt and then saying, "I'm pretty sure if I cut it with a pair of scissors, there would be a big hole in my shirt in no time!" Yes. So don't do that. Duh.As to how long the charge lasts, I haven't been able to run it out yet, with normal usage! I live in a 10x16' tiny house, and I took it up to my loft last night, not because I needed the light, but just because it was so warm and glowy and made me feel good. I fell asleep with it on low, and didn't turn it off til somewhere around 4 or 5 in the morning. Turned it back on about 5:45, and almost an hour later, it's still going strong! The first pic is on the high setting, the second on low. I can't recommend this product highly enough. Will it withstand decades of use, being squashed by a pickup truck or used as a chew toy for a puppy? Probably not. Name one thing that will. Love, love, love this smart little light! Thank you Luci designers!UPDATE: After about 2 1/2 weeks of daily use, the Luci Lux started shutting off after only about 2-3 hours of light. The first few times, I thought maybe I hadn't allowed it to fully charge. So, being very careful to give it a full day with the panel in direct sunlight (I live in south central Texas, so NO shortage of sunlight!) it was still clicking off unceremoniously after just a couple of hours.I returned to Amazon and got a prompt replacement. So far, it's better, but I noticed on the packaging it states that it runs for 12 hours on the brightest setting. Not a chance. Not a shred of a chance. I had to take away a star for that. Just simply not true.So far, the replacement is behaving, but it's only been about 10 days. I'll let you know how it fares!

Compact, weatherproof camp companion!
2023 UPDATE: five years later and these are still among my favorite camp/road-trip/emergency prep items. One of them won’t fully charge anymore, but we can still get a weekend’s worth out of a semi-full charge. I’m so impressed these lasted five years. They hold a charge for a long time, so we keep them in the house to use in case of electrical outages, then add them to our gear when we hit the road.ORIGINAL REVIEW:We bought two Luci lanterns for a recent car camping trip and I’m happy to be adding these to our camp gear box! We left our bulky, battery powered lantern at home and used this instead. It brightly illuminated our tent (we hung it from the ceiling with a clip) and our table (it rained so we had a tarp shelter over the tent, and hung a light from it). The solar recharge worked well for us, and the lights, deflated, fit easily into a cosmetics pouch with our headlamps. I especially liked not worrying about the elements when we used it in the rain. Thanks for a great product! I’d buy this one again!

Great little lights, charge lasts a long time
These are light, compact, charge decently fast in the sun, and last many hours on a charge, so they are good for a variety of purposes. For us, it is for power outages (frequent here), as well as hiking and camping.I bought a couple of these matte lights as well as the standard clear Mpowerd ones. They both have their usages, but I usually prefer these soft-light ones. The clear ones let more light through, so they are a little brighter, but these matte ones have such nice light and aren't harsh to glance at. I bought all these lights mainly for power-outages but my wife and I like the matte ones so much for ambiance that we use them at other times around the house too.

Love the Luci light
This light is so good. Uses solar power. Easy to inflate by mouth and then deflate for easy storage. Well I actually don’t even store this as it is in the car all the time solar charging and I use it for camping.

Perfekt für unterwegs...
Genial.
