Good stuff!
This is the kind of product that really can't be reviewed very soon after purchase. But, I can say this much: I have a tree in front of our house that I planted years ago. It didn't do well for a number of years and seemed to struggle with keeping its leaves during the season...but, it didn't die. About three years after I planted it, I saw these plant fertilizer spikes and decided to give them a try. I put them in the ground in early November and the following Spring and throughout the Summer it clearly improved dramatically. I was amazed. I've used them for the last three years now and the tree is really beautiful and healthy now. So, with that I have to highly recommend this product.

nice, shrubs growing well, producing lots of leaves and retaining color even in 12+ hours of direct sun. Product was recommended by gentleman who works at nursery. Leaves on my shrubs were turning yellow, after apply said product, I noticed changes in a few weeks. shrubs have maintained color throughout whole summer, temperatures are pretty high here in Texas.

Better from Amazon
I always use Miracle-Gro spikes for my trees. They are very healthy and full. Purchasing them through Amazon is so convenient and easy, and with Prime shipping I get them so fast.. This is better than going to the store to purchase them.

Shrubs Turn Back to Green!
I purchased a house about 9 months ago that had very little TLC done for the landscaping. Many of the shrubs were not prunned and were looking very unhealthy. After prunning them, I noticed that it didn't take much to reveal the dry brown dead material beneath the healthy vegetation...and I didn't remove much of the healthy stuff. I planted about 2-3 spikes per shrub around about 2 feet away from the trunk, and after a few months, the shrubs have really come back to a very natural and healthy appearance. Many of the sparce sections have filled in, and they have become noticeably more dense. I would suggest taking something rigid to make a hole with before putting these into the ground. Depending on the time of year and the hardness of your soil, enough pressure can cause them to snap in half. Not that it is a problem...you just make a 3-4 inch hold and put both halves back in. I'll definately be using these next year.

Impressed with the results.
The media could not be loaded. We planted new trees and the color wasn’t looking right. They were also not growing very fast. I ordered these spikes and ever since they have shot up several feet and look beautiful and healthy. I’m writing this review about a year after the first spikes went into the ground. I’m ordering more now. I highly recommend these. They work great!

the plants showing some good signs (green leaves
The spikes something are broken, so you may need a steel probe to make a hole in the ground and insert the broken parts into the ground. So far, the plants showing some good signs (green leaves, and developing roots) after 3 months of initial planting.

or Miracle-Gro just has poor packaging. You'll definitely want to form your own ...
Two warnings based on the product's shipping & ease of installation:A few of the spikes in the package arrived broken, more or less, in half. Not sure if delivery company (Amazon's own special, probably sub-sub-contracted "AMZL" delivery service) was at fault here, or Miracle-Gro just has poor packaging. You'll definitely want to form your own holes before installing these, if at all possible. I watered the area inside the dripline for a good 45 minutes two days ago (it's been pretty dry here), and we received a sizable amount of rainfall overnight, less than 12 hours before I attempted to install. Still, using a rubber mallet instead of a hammer, the plastic cap began to break after 2 or 3 spikes. A couple spikes began to break upon entry, as well.I'll update this (if possible, or submit a new review) if/when I start to see any improvement in my tree's foliage.
