Blends well
I am very happy with my Hamilton Beach Elite Blender. It is powerful, easy to use, and does a great job blending smoothies, shakes, sauces, and other ingredients. The blades are strong and blend everything smoothly without leaving large chunks behind. I also like how easy it is to clean. The jar is a good size for making drinks for the whole family, and the different speed settings make it simple to get the consistency I want. The blender runs efficiently and offers great performance for its price. Overall, the Hamilton Beach Elite Blender is a reliable and affordable kitchen appliance that delivers excellent results. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality blender for everyday use.

Powerful and Easy to Use
I really love this blender. It’s easy to use, has a nice design, and works great for making smoothies, juices, and other drinks. The blades do an excellent job, and everything blends smoothly. It’s also convenient and easy to clean. I’m very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend it!

A Pretty Decent Blender That Fits Mason Jars
This blender has been very nice. I bought it because it fits small mouthed mason jars and I would never want to go back to a blender that doesn't. However, you do have to add a lot of liquid to the mix or it won't blend. After 3 years of steady use, the gasket on the blade cracked, but I was able to buy another blade and gasket for $11. It's not the most powerful blender in the world, but it's cheap, effective, and the fact that it fits mason jars is just wonderful.

Well made - great for shakes!
I use this blender to make protein shakes and works great. it also has other setting for different functions. it is well made and the jar is a solid glass. The cover comes off easily without rubbing oil as suggested. it was a great buy.

It's a great value.
I am quite content with this blender. My previous one was much more powerful, but it became incredibly loud over time. I'm glad to say this one is much quieter, and my family is incredibly relieved. The blending capability is decent. While not as powerful as I'd hoped, you can easily remedy this by running it a bit longer. For only $40, it is a great value. It is also durable, uncomplicated, and very easy to take apart for cleaning. Lastly, many reviews complained about the lid being difficult to remove. I easily avoid this by simply resting the lid on top instead of locking it down completely*. I can fill it up to two inches from the top this way, and nothing spills**. *Make sure you hold the cover down while it's running. **Make sure that the pour spout lid is closed.

Powerful Blender for Smoothies and Everyday Blending
The Hamilton Beach Power Elite Blender is a great addition to the kitchen for making smoothies, shakes, sauces, and other blended recipes. The 700-watt motor provides plenty of power for everyday blending, and the 12 different functions make it easy to choose the setting that works best for what you're preparing. The Wave Action system is one of my favorite features because it helps pull ingredients down toward the blades instead of leaving everything sitting at the top of the jar. This is especially helpful when making smoothies, where you want the ingredients blended evenly. The 40 oz glass jar is another nice feature. The glass feels sturdy and doesn't hold onto food odors as easily as some plastic containers can. The size is also convenient for making enough of a drink or recipe for more than one person. The blender can also crush ice, which is useful for smoothies and frozen drinks. The different settings give you more control over the consistency of your recipes, whether you want something smooth and creamy or need to process ingredients more thoroughly. The black design looks simple and modern, so it fits nicely with different kitchen styles. The controls are straightforward, making the blender easy to use without having to spend a lot of time figuring out complicated settings. Overall, the Hamilton Beach Power Elite Blender is a versatile and practical kitchen appliance. The 700-watt motor, Wave Action system, glass jar, ice-crushing capability, and 12 functions make it a useful choice for smoothies, frozen drinks, sauces, and everyday blending.

Great for Avoiding Plastic… But Be Prepared to Wrestle the Lid
Great for Avoiding Plastic… But Be Prepared to Wrestle the Lid I specifically sought out the Hamilton Beach Power Elite Wave Action Blender because of the glass jar instead of plastic. We make protein smoothies daily, and I’m trying to avoid as many microplastics and unnecessary chemicals in our food as possible. I’ve also owned some of the higher-end blenders that cost several hundred dollars each. Performance-wise, this one is definitely not on that level. But those expensive blenders are also plastic, and if you decide to switch from plastic to glass like I did, just be prepared for some compromises in blending performance. Overall, for the price, I actually ended up buying multiple units so I’d have backup glass jars for both the house and our motorhome. Pros: • It’s GLASS. That alone narrowed my options considerably. • The blades can be disassembled from the jar for a much better clean. • Dishwasher safe parts are a huge plus in daily life. • It generally does a decent job on smoothies and ice. • Replacement/extra jars are affordable enough that I stocked up. Cons: • The “patented drip-free pour spout” is… optimistic marketing. It absolutely drips, and ours also leaks from under the lid while pouring. • The lid is ridiculously difficult to remove. I’m not exaggerating when I say it feels like you might injure yourself, drop the jar, or launch the lid across the kitchen once it finally gives way. • Pouring without the lid attached creates a massive mess because of the jar design. • It usually handles ice fine, but tougher fibrous ingredients like fresh ginger root should definitely be pre-chopped unless you enjoy discovering ginger “hairballs” wrapped around the blades later. 😅 • One of the jars/bottom assemblies from my original order never fit correctly and constantly leaked. That said, despite the annoyances, I keep using it because finding an affordable blender with a true glass jar is getting harder and harder these days. I personally rely heavily on reviews and try to include the details I’d want to know before purchasing. Hopefully sharing my experience helps someone choose the right item the first time 😊

It works well as a blender - not a food processor substitute
This isn't a Vitamix by any stretch of the imagination. But it's I think it's a decent value for the price. Where else can you get a 40oz 5 speed blender with a glass pitcher for under $40 USD? I picked this blender for a couple of reasons 1. The previous blender I had for over 15 years was a Hamilton Beach 2. The toaster I have is also a Hamilton Beach, which I’ve had for over 20 years. Do I like it? I think so... Short recap of below 1. For a sub $50.00 blender I like it. It works well 2. I really like the (heavy) glass pitcher. This is the main reason why I purchased it. 3. I like the base (motor) it feels solid, and it works very well 4. It’s quieter than my old Hamilton Beach blender, which is my only point of reference. For me that’s good. 5. The button feel very similar to my old blender which lasted a long time, so that too is good. 6. I REALLY don’t like how hard the top is to remove 7. I don’t like the cheap feel of the plastic bits attached to the pitcher What I like 1. I like the glass pitcher - yes it's heavy but it's also made of glass thick enough to withstand crushing ice relatively quietly. Plastic pitches sound like they may shatter in the process. 2. I like that the bottom screws off making the pitcher and blades easy to clean. 3. I like the several blending options (though I use the two pulses more than the other 3 options). 4. It makes a great smoothie & crushed ice drinks such as Margarita or Daiquiri very quickly and evenly blended. 5. Worked great for making pesto & Harissa too, though the parsley had to be added in a bit at a time to ensure smooth consistency. I typically make these two items in my Cuisinart Food Processor which performs both of the above tasks in about 1/3 of the time it took in the blender. The consistency is also better in my Cuisinart. I figured I’d give the blender a go on these just as a test. I’m not gonna try making peanut butter. 6. The base and mechanical bits under the pitcher have a quality feel for the price sub $50.00 price tag. The blender stays put, and a hand isn’t required on top of the blender to keep the pitcher from walking off the spinny bits. What I'm on the fence (can’t decide) about it's not particularly quiet - but quieter than my old blender, and definitely NOT quieter than my Cuisinart Food Processor. So I’m on the fence. What I don't like, and I mean really don't like The top is made of LDPE plastic making it extremely hard to get off when at room temp and especially straight out of the fridge. I’m not being a wimp; the top is extremely hard to get off. So hard I'm afraid the "lifting tab" is going to snap off in my attempts. My wife gave up getting the lid off and leaves it for me to struggle with. I don’t even try anymore to get the lid off if its cold. I run the whole pitcher under really hot water before I attempt to get the lid off. The hot water makes the LDPE plastic top pliable, making it easier to remove. Effortless is not be a synonym I’d use to describe removing the lid from the pitcher. This would be a deal breaker for a person with disabilities, Arthritis, weak fingers, and/or an elderly person. There is now way my Mom wouldn’t be able to get the lid off this blender. What I mildly don't like 1. The top has a secondary flap, for what I’m not sure. The flap doesn’t have a proper hinge. The hinge is molded into the lid of the pitcher. Being made of LDPE plastic, I'm pretty confident it's going to snap off in time. 2. The whole top / lid to the pitcher has a ton of nooks and crannies making it a challenge to clean quickly. A brush and soaking in hot soapy water is what works for me. I use it every day, so I wash by hand instead of using the dishwasher. 3. The base that holds the blades onto the pitcher is made of thin ABS plastic which I’m quite certain if the base came into contact with counter top at an angle with a bit of force, aka dropping the pitcher onto the base or inadvertently smacked against the edge of the counter it will result in a broken base.. Maybe shatter would be a better term Those are my thoughts and experiences with this pitcher – You decide.

Good warranty service (at least in Canada!), good blender for the price point
I've used this blender more or less on a daily basis with frozen fruits and vegetables for about two months. I knew that I would be getting a lot of use out of it, and have had experience with both low end blenders (always disappointing) and high end blenders (from working at a smoothie making business), and was a little bit hesitant to purchase one at this price point, rather than investing in a higher end, more powerful one. However, I was happily surprised by both the quality and easy of use of this blender. It has a very solid glass jar (I've had bad experiences with cracks in the jars of cheaper plastic blenders). It also comes apart for easy cleaning and can go in the dishwasher. It's so easy to clean and used so frequently in my household that I rarely need to put it in the dishwasher unless I'm in a rush. The motor may not be as powerful as some more high end blenders, but as long as you make sure to start with a liquid base, it has no trouble blending frozen foods. The only caveat that I have is that, about a month into use, my unit started leaking. At first, I thought it was because I was putting it back together incorrectly, but then I noticed a small crack in the plastic/rubber ring in the cutter assembly. After wondering how difficult it would be to get the part replaced, I continued using it for a few weeks, but finally made the call to the Hamilton Beach office in Canada today. The real reason that I had to post this review was the pleasant and quick service that I got while making that call. All I had to do was give them the product model/series and describe the part that was affected. There was no fuss about proof or purchase or anything else. The new part is free because of the 3 year warranty and they charged me $5 for shipping (which I knew I would be paying anyway because of the clear warranty policy). It should arrive within 7-10 days. When you purchase a product that is not so high end, you sometimes worry about the service that you'll receive if any problems come up. I will not hesitate to purchase similar products from Hamilton Beach in the future if they have such an easy to access warranty service.

Easy to use, good quality, makes great smoothies.
I love this blender, so easy to use. I had a smaller blender but found it was difficult to use with my arthritic fingers. You needed to push down on the container and it had to be in the perfect position for it to work, very cumbersome. This one you only have to push a button.
