Frank Decaro has done an exhaustive job researching his subject and the result is a high quality tribute to a legendary designer at the peak of his talents. This was a gift, and the recipient loved it. A large book, with copious full-color art prints of Bob Mackie's work over the years.

Everything you want from a coffee table book-- great pics, a few blurbs of info. Mix of fashion and journalistic photography, and it feels like the book was created by a true, sophistocated fan.

It was just alright, I was hoping to see more of the costumes

This book is beautiful, but this seller tops the charts when it comes to customer service. I had a small issue with this purchase and the seller more than met my expectations, addressed my concerns and did EVERTHING to insure my satisfaction. Whenever I need a hard to find book, Strand will be my first choice.

A fantastic book! Bob Mackie is such an interesting person. Great sense of humor, too.If you love fashion; you will love this book. I read it in two days. It is filled with many picturesand short stories. Just knowing that Bob was the creator of Carol Burnett's outfits made thisbook all the more interesting. Not only her but, other celebrities, as well. Bob himself is a greatcreative being. Totally interesting.

The exhibit at F.I.T. this fall as well as my love of Bob's great model Cher prompted me to get this book. It's perfect for the die hard fashion victim, the star lover or the sheer lover of beautiful fashion craft and fantasy. I would advise everyone who knows a hollywood fashion lover to stuff the stocking with this book. The cover is gorgeous, and the dress looks to be the one Cher wore in the Player!The passages on his favorite women are revealing and colorfully illustrated with photographs and drawings!
