For the price I'm happy. It does have that somewhat dry quality that most protein bars have, but it's a decent tasting brownie, and not too sweet(!) which can be hard to come by from protein product manufacturers. Bear in mind maltitol isn't particularly low carb like some other sugar alcohols though. Someone described it as like a dense brick, but mine had similar softness to a packaged brownie, although not the rich squidginess that a good one has. it was not any denser, and less dense than some I've had in coffee shops. One review said that less than 10% of the calories come from protein - I make it about 30%. I suspect they saw "20g protein, 246 calories" and made a direct comparison, which isn't correct. There are 4 calories in each gram of protein, so 80 of those calories are from protein.

Not the cheapest but very tasty and not overly sweet I prefer the blondie version but both are nice

I got these for emergency snacking when out walking. When it comes to protein bars I always set my expectations low in terms of taste and texture. These things are what they are: fast energy supplies, not gourmet starters or puddings, so on that basis and at this price I think these are some of the best I've found so far. The texture and taste of some of the more expensive brands are better but those are usually around twice the price. If the price of these goes up much more than they already are then I would definitely not purchase again, but currently they are worth it. Maybe a little dry for some and the taste is quite 'dark', but having given up sugary foods for over the last decade, they seem great to me. Overall a very nice hill snack at a reasonable price, but maybe not to everyones' taste.

The cookies are great but not from Amazon sadly. Not the first time they’ve arrived like this and tasted off. Must be an issue with how they’re being stored

I have chomped my way through a few protein bars in my time. They have ranged from the truly dreadful to the sublime for a big chunk of change. I usually favour the bars as opposed to the more cakey products and those products which are zero carbs, or close to it. At less than £12 I thought these were worth a punt. Nothing bad in the ingredients that I could see. A good shot of protein and only 26g of carbs. I guess taste is subjective, but to me they pretty much taste like an ordinary brownie. They have a lighter texture and accompany a coffee really well. They give my diet a bit of normality (and chocolate) and I'm still really looking after myself.

Please avoid, extremely dense and unpleasant texture I bought these thinking they would be a nice high-protein brownie to have with a coffee, either as a mid-morning snack or after the gym. Unfortunately, the texture was awful. It was dry and sandy, yet somehow also incredibly dense. Honestly, chewing through a brick is the closest description I can give. The chocolate flavour itself is strong, and the brownies are larger than I expected. The protein and calorie content also seemed good for a convenient snack. Sadly, the texture and how difficult they were to chew completely ruined them for me, and I genuinely cannot face eating another one. I would not recommend these.
